Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan Buys Maybach S580 worth Rs 3 Crore [Video]
It’s raining new cars in Bollywood. Many young and well-established actors in the industry have been buying expensive cars lately. Popular actress Vidya Balan also bought herself a brand new Maybach sedan. Vidya Balan bought a Mercedes Maybach S580 luxury sedan. A video of her with her new ride has now surfaced online.
The video has been shared by Cars For You on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see Vidya Balan walking out of a shop in Mumbai. As she was walking towards the car, she waved at her driver to stop as there was a scooter parked next to it. As this is a Maybach, the turning radius is often too much, and there was a possibility of the car crashing into the scooter.
She then walked up to the car and sat in the rear seat. Her driver did get out to open the door, but Vidya opened the door before the driver and got in. The actress did not pose for pictures or videos, and the driver then took the car in reverse, joined the road, and drove away. Vidya has bought the car in a very elegant-looking emerald green shade.
The car seen here is the Maybach S580. Maybachs have lately become extremely popular among celebs in Bollywood. Most of them have been going for the GLS600 SUV, but there are a few who still prefer the comfort of the sedan over an SUV.
The S580 is based on the current generation S-Class, which is the seventh-generation model. In terms of features, it offers premium quality material for the dashboard, seats, and throughout the cabin. The S580 has features like ventilated seats with a massage function, rear seat entertainment screens, a sunroof, and many more.
The S580 is powered by a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine. It generates 496 bhp of maximum power and 700 Nm of maximum torque. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard, and power is sent to all four wheels. Other than Vidya Balan, actors like Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor, and Kiara Advani have also bought the Maybach S580. Some of them have even bought the more expensive S680 4MATIC. The price for a brand new Maybach S580 sedan is Rs 2.72 crore ex-showroom, which brings the on-road cost to over Rs 3 crore very easily.
Not the only Mercedes
It looks like Vidya Balan likes Mercedes-Benz as a brand. This is not the first time she has added a Mercedes to her garage. In 2019, she bought a brand new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan. The sedan was available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It was available with a 2-liter petrol engine, a 2.0-liter diesel engine, and a 3.0-liter diesel engine.
We are not sure which variant the actress owned. She also owns a Mercedes-Benz GLC luxury SUV. It is quite possible that the recently bought Maybach S580 is probably the most expensive car in Vidya Balan’s garage. There are also reports that she owns an S550, but we cannot confirm the same.
