One of the new brands to showcase their products at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo was VinFast. The Vietnamese automaker is gearing up to launch its products in the Indian market. They unveiled two of their models, the VF6 and VF7, at the expo this year. VinFast has created a new YouTube channel for India and has now released an official video of the VF6 and VF7 on the channel. The video provides a glimpse of both these electric SUVs, showcasing their exterior, interior, and some features offered by the brand.

VF6

The VF6 is a mid-size electric SUV that is almost the same size as the upcoming Maruti eVitara and the recently launched Hyundai Creta Electric. The front-end of the electric SUV somehow resembles a Nissan Juke. The front grille is completely closed with a sleek LED DRL running towards the VinFast logo placed at the center.

The split headlamps and open lower air dam give it an SUV look. The VF6 EV is 4,238 mm long. Coming to the side profile, the video reveals the 4-door SUV design with a slightly sloping roof at the rear. The SUV comes with thick claddings around the wheel arches and large dual-tone alloy wheels. The SUV offers 17-inch and 19-inch wheel options depending on the variant.

At the rear, the SUV gets a sleek LED tail lamp that forms a V-shaped pattern at the center. The VinFast logo and lettering are prominently displayed on the tailgate. The rear bumper has a muscular design, and there is an integrated roof spoiler that adds a sporty touch.

Coming to the interiors, the VF6 features a premium-looking cabin with a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center. The screen and buttons are driver-oriented. It also comes with features like leatherette upholstery, ADAS Level 2, a 360-degree camera, HUD, parking sensors, and more.

The VF6 is internationally offered in two variants: Eco and Plus. In India, VinFast is likely to launch the Eco variant, which comes with a single motor setup. The eSUV generates 174 Bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. It is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed driving range of 410 km.

VF7

The VF7 is a slightly larger SUV and will sit above the VF6. The VF7 SUV measures 4,545 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height. The front fascia of the electric SUV looks similar to the VF6 but with minor tweaks. The signature V-shaped LED connecting light bar is seen at the front, accompanied by another LED element around the headlamps.

The bumper has a sportier design, and there are gloss black claddings around the wheel arches. Coming to the side profile, the SUV gets a boxy design with sharp character lines, flush-type door handles, 19-20 inch dual-tone alloy wheel options, and a sharp-looking rear with an LED connecting bar. Below the tail lamp, there is a vertical air-curtain-like design. The rear bumper also gets gloss black inserts.

The cabin design of the VF7 is similar to the smaller VF6. The electric SUV gets a larger 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-tone upholstery, HUD, automatic climate control, Level 2 ADAS, and more.

The SUV is powered by a 75.3 kWh battery pack. It is available in both single and dual-motor options. The single-motor variant generates 201 Bhp and 310 Nm of torque, while the dual-motor or AWD variant generates 349 Bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The range of the VF7 is 450 km for the single-motor variant and 431 km for the dual-motor version.

India Launch

VinFast plans to offer its electric vehicles in the Indian market, and the official launch of the electric SUVs is likely to happen sometime around the festive season this year. VinFast not only plans to launch new models but also to start a manufacturing facility in India.

Vinfast TVC

They have already begun work on this, and the integrated battery and EV plant of VinFast is expected to start operations within the next six months in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi. This will be VinFast’s third manufacturing facility after Vietnam and the USA.
