At this point, it is a known fact across the country that the traffic in Bangalore, Karnataka, is one of the worst. This is not just the case in India but in the entire world, as Bangalore is third on the list of cities with the slowest-moving traffic. Now, a lot of people who do not stay in Bangalore don't actually know how bad the traffic in the tech hub of India is. So, to showcase this, two influencers held a competition. One of them took a flight from Bangalore to Mumbai, meanwhile, the other had to reach JP Nagar from Bangalore airport. The result, you may ask? Well, that's ahead.

Influencer reaches Mumbai from Bangalore before the other reaches JP Nagar

The video showing the horrendous Bangalore traffic has been shared on Instagram by Cassy Pereira and Harshit Chajjed on their pages. In this video, the influencers mention that they will be seeing who reaches their destination first. The first boy has to travel from Bangalore to Mumbai on a flight. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the other drives to JP Nagar from Bangalore airport in peak traffic.

Following this introduction, the person who had to take the flight entered the Bangalore airport. He then completed his security check and even went to the lounge to have breakfast. Soon after this, he went and sat in front of his boarding gate, waiting for boarding. During this time, the other influencer first had to find his Kia Seltos in the parking lot after he forgot where he had parked it.

He mentioned that it took him 8 minutes just to find the car. After this, he started his journey from Bangalore airport to JP Nagar, which is a very long 43 km route. It can be seen that initially the traffic was not as bad. However, the creator then stated that he was stuck in Hebbal for 45 minutes. During this, we can see in the video that he was scrolling through reels and even did the famous and funny “Ajay Devgn” dance with fingers as well.

At one point, he even got out of his car and said that he was walking faster than his car. Meanwhile, the person who was in the airport and had already boarded the flight was enjoying dessert in the air while relaxing in his seat. Finally, when the person in the car was just 20 minutes away from JP Nagar, he received a call from the other person. He then told him that he had landed in Mumbai.

Bangalore traffic and its ranking

Back in 2024, TomTom, a Dutch company that specializes in location technology and electronic products, particularly in navigation and mapping, conducted a study. It was found that Bangalore has one of the slowest-moving traffic systems in the world. It was found that it takes around 36 minutes and 30 seconds to travel an average of 10 km in Bangalore.

Also, the congestion level is 51 percent, and the average speed in Bangalore is 16.4 kmph. Lastly, it was also found that on a route of 34.7 km, there were 85 counts of traffic jams. This condition of the traffic makes Bangalore the third slowest city in the world, followed by Barranquilla in Colombia and Kolkata. After Bangalore is Pune, Maharashtra, which ranks in the fourth spot.
