Imagine a house, mansion or an apartment of a wealthy individual. What all things do you expect to see inside the house. Especially in the living area? A plush couch or sofa, expensive paintings and furnitures, entertainment unit and so on. A car is probably not even the last thing in your list when you think of a living room of a house. However a video from Mumbai has been going viral on the internet after someone spotted not just any car but, a Rolls Royce Ghost parked in the living room of a luxury apartment. However is it actually true? Let’s find out.
The video that has gone viral on the internet is actually shared by Vedant Bapat on his Instagram page. In this video, we see a residential tower but, when the camera zooms, we see something unusual. There is a Rolls Royce Ghost parked on on of the floors. The video has been posted online with an caption “Is that a Rolls-Royce parked in someone’s living room?”
Most of them who came across the video believed that it is actually the living room of some business man or celebrity. However, that is not the truth. If you look carefully, you will realise that it is not the living room any apartment. In many premium or luxury apartments, the car parkings are also multi level. Some have them in the basement while others have it above the ground.
The car seen here in the video is parked in one such parking lot. If you may notice, there are other cars next to it too.
The Rolls Royce seen here is a Ghost from the older generation. The building seen here in the video is Silverene Terraces. It is a 21-story building located in Worli, Mumbai. The main attraction of this building is that it faces the sea. Also, each flat in this apartment building costs upwards of Rs 90 crore.
The car seen here is owned by Ajeenkya DY Patil. He is an Indian educationist and economist and the son of DY Patil, who is politician and former governer of Bihar. Ajeenkya Patil is currently the chairman of the DY Patil Group, Chancellor of Ajeenkya DY Patil University, and Pro-chancellor of the Dr. DY Patil University.
The Rolls Royce Ghost seen in the video has been spotted in the past and it is finished in a dual tone shade of white and Silver. It even gets a fancy 5999 registration number. The Rolls Royce Ghost Series II is powered by a 6.6-litre V12 twin-turbo petrol engine. It generates 562 bhp and 780 Nm of torque.
Apart from the Rolls Royce Ghost Ajeenkya DY patil also owns cars like Lincoln Navigator luxury SUV. The SUV was never officially available in India and it was imported and registered here. It is powered by a 3.5-litre Ecoboost V6 engine. This motor generates 450 bhp and a torque of 691 Nm. It is mated to a 10-speed AT transmission.
