10-Year Old Mercedes C-Class Converted Into Rs 2 Crore C63 AMG
Today, if you want to buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, you'll have to shell out Rs 2 crore. However, what if we told you that you can get almost the same car for ¼ of the original price? You'd say, "How is that possible, right?" Well, recently, a video has been shared online in which a previous-generation W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been fully converted into a brand-new W206 C63 AMG sports sedan.
This video showing the conversion of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class to C63 AMG has been shared on YouTube by Autorounders on their channel. Autorounders is a company that specializes in the conversion of old vehicles to new vehicles using aftermarket body kits. They also make custom body kits and have expertise in interior modifications as well.
Old Mercedes-Benz C-Class converted to C63 AMG
In the most recent video, the owner of Autorounders explains the new project that they are working on. He mentions that recently, one of their clients brought a W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan, which he wanted to get converted into a C63 AMG of the current W206 generation. Following this, he mentions that for this, they will be using an imported body kit from China.
He also highlighted that this is one of the most value-for-money modifications that can be done to the appearance of a C63 AMG sports sedan. The owner mentions that a used W205 C-Class in good condition can be bought for Rs 18–25 lakh, and then converting it using an aftermarket body kit costs around Rs 4–5 lakh. As for the result, the owners can get a nearly identical vehicle for a fraction of the original car's price.
Conversion process
Moving on, he starts explaining the conversion process of this vehicle. He states that they will first be removing the current front bumper, bonnet, grille, headlights, and front fenders. Following this, on the rear, they will add a new boot lid, new four-piece LED taillights, and a new rear bumper.
The owner also highlights that as the LED taillights are different, they need to cut and weld a portion of the new quarter panel, which comes with the kit, to fit the lights. Apart from this, he mentions that the vehicle will be getting a Firestone Red color. Emphasizing the legality of the color change, he mentions that the RTO approval has been taken for the color change.
Following this, the vehicle is then shown getting completely disassembled. The shop technicians then start test-fitting and aligning all the new body parts and the lights. After this, the new rear quarter panels are welded. Finally, the vehicle then goes into the paint booth for the final spraying of the paint. It then comes out and gets polished to bring out the gloss.
Interior modifications
After showing the completed vehicle, he mentions that they have not completely changed the interior. However, they have reupholstered the steering wheel and have also added a new Android-based touchscreen, which looks similar to the company-fitted screen but offers touch functionality and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Finally, the car gets shown to the family of the owner, and they were in complete shock after seeing the transformation.
