Wife Surprises Husband By Gifting Him A Brand-New Maruti Ignis

Most people love surprises. It feels extra special when the gift comes from the person you love the most. A husband recently had such a priceless moment when his wife surprised him by gifting a brand-new car- a Maruti Ignis. A video shared on Instagram shows how the wife surprised her husband by taking delivery of the vehicle.
It starts by showing the car kept under a veil at the dealership. Maruti Suzuki sells the Ignis through its Nexa dealership network. The family walks into the showroom, and the wife completes the paperwork before her husband arrives. The family is seen happy about the occasion. Soon, Akshay, the husband, walks in and is received well by the dealer staff.
Later, we see the family standing near the car, and the wife handing over the keys to the husband. He is shocked and it takes him some time to believe what he just got gifted with. Overwhelmed with joy, he hugs his wife, and the family celebrates the occasion.
This wife just realised one of the biggest dreams of her man. In the description of the video, she wrote ‘Hello Husband, I didn't want to miss out your expression of shock!’, explaining why she kept it a secret.
In another post shared on her Instagram handle, the wife thanked Akshay for being the perfect partner and also mentioned that the new car is a token of her love for him.
The video has sparked massive positive responses from among netizens. Many praised the wife’s actions in the comments. ‘Pov=Women in love’ commented a user, while another said ‘Welcome to Ignis family’. The video itself has amassed over 98,000 views at the time of writing this article.
The Ignis is priced in the range of Rs 5.85- 8.26 lakh, ex-showroom. It comes in three broad trims- Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The Sigma variant which was available at launch in 2017 is no more on sale.
The premium hatchback comes with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 83hp and 113 Nm of torque. Both five-speed manual and five-speed AMT automatic (which Suzuki calls AGS) transmissions are offered. This engine definitely feels peppy and is great for city driving. It stays clear of the ‘Dualjet technology’ and is often appreciated for its fuel efficiency as well.
Talking of features, the range-topping variant comes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki’s 7-inch ‘Smart Play’ touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, audio system with four speakers and two tweeters, climate control, toggle-type buttons, electric ORVM adjustment and folding, and push-button start.
The safety suite consists of features like airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX mounts and more.
The Ignis, in fact, has a polarising design. Not everyone will like the way it looks. Over the years, it has managed to carve out a niche following for its unique design and packaging.
In the past few months, Maruti Suzuki rolled out multiple cosmetic upgrades and special editions on this hatchback like the Radiance and Black editions. Now, a the official colour palette of Ignis comprises seven monotones and three dual-tone shades. Here, the family seems to have opted for the Nexa Blue.
Maruti Suzuki also lets users experience the car virtually through its website. You can configure your desired colour option, variant and other details and can even placer orders online. When it was first launched, Maruti Suzuki used to offer a range of customisation options on the Ignis. These aren’t available today.
