Mahindra XEV 9E-Style Double Touchscreen For Your Budget Car: All You Need To Know

Many car brands are working hard to make the interiors of their cars premium and comfortable. The major reason behind this effort is that a car is where people spend a significant amount of time apart from their homes. It is almost like a second home. It is for this reason that manufacturers are offering large touchscreens in cars. Many brands have now taken things to the next level and are offering twin touchscreen infotainment systems from the factory. The Mahindra XUV 9E is a good example of this. However, if you own an old car, these features are probably unfamiliar to you, and the only option in such cases is to go for an aftermarket solution. Here, we have one such video that shows an XUV 9E-style double touchscreen system being installed in a budget car.
The video has been shared by Road Kraze Accessories on their Instagram page. In this video, we see a twin touchscreen setup being installed on the dashboard of a Maruti Fronx crossover. It is similar to what we have seen in the Mahindra XUV 9E. The setup consists of two 11.8-inch screens that run on the Android operating system.
It is actually from a brand called Maxxlink, and the model name is Dual Play. As mentioned above, this setup consists of two screens using Android OS. It runs on Android 13 and comes with features like Bluetooth 5.4, full HD screens, GPS navigation, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, and a built-in DSP.
The seller who posted this video mentioned that this screen is suitable for any vehicle and is a good solution for those who are looking for a unique accessory for their car. It should be noted that this is an aftermarket accessory and comes with a 1-year warranty only.
The benefit of this screen is that you can use one of the screens for navigation and other vehicle controls, while the second screen in front of the co-passenger can be solely used to watch videos or any other form of content.
Road Kraze Accessories is located in Surat, but they told us that they can ship this product to customers anywhere in India. You can get in touch with the shop through their Instagram page or by dropping them a message on WhatsApp. The cost of this aftermarket dual-display infotainment screen is Rs 35,000.
In the video where the screen is being installed on the Fronx, there are a few things that concern us. Maruti offers a floating-type infotainment screen with the Fronx, so when they replace it with an aftermarket unit, it is installed in the same spot.
Both these screens are now sitting on top of the dashboard. We are not sure if the secondary screen is in the way of the co-passenger airbag or not. If it is, then it is a serious issue, as it could injure the co-passenger if the airbag is deployed in an accident.
Whenever you do customisations like this in the car, ensure that it is not affecting the working of any of the existing features to avoid issues in future.
