Unboxing A 3.5 Lakh Rupee 'Fake Defender' From China [Video]

Just a little while ago, a video went viral on the internet in which an original Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography was compared to a cheap knockoff Range Rover from China. This time around, in a similar manner, a video comparing a fake Land Rover Defender with a real Defender has been shared online. In this video, the two hosts unbox and check out the Land Rover clone from China.
This video of the comparison between the real and fake Land Rover Defender luxury SUV has been shared on YouTube by Supercar Blondie on their channel. It starts off with the two hosts mentioning that, in their series of fake vs. original comparisons, today they have brought a Land Rover Defender copy from China. They highlighted that this particular model is priced at $4,000, which is around Rs 3.48 lakh.
Following the introduction, the two hosts start unboxing the fake Defender. It can be noted that it was shipped in a large wooden box. After the box was dismantled, the vehicle can be seen covered in a thick plastic wrap to protect it from getting scratched up during transit. The host then removes this plastic wrap to reveal the fake Defender.
Right off the bat, they start the detailed walkaround of this fake Land Rover Defender. At the front, they mention that anyone will be able to recognize that this model is a fake. They highlighted that the company that produced this model has copied the exact front design of the Defender. However, it is finished in very poor quality.
The hosts mention that, at the front, this model gets a dual-tone black and grey color scheme. Apart from this, the design of the headlight is exactly the same, but the internals are of very bad quality. They also show that the company has left space for the logo. Apart from this, they mention that the thickness of the sheet metal used for this vehicle is slightly more than the previous fake Range Rover they tested.
After this, they parked a real Land Rover Defender right next to this fake model and started comparing the two. They then showed the side profile of this Land Rover Defender copy. It was highlighted that the wheels on this vehicle are tiny compared to the real SUV. They mention that although these wheels just have a cover on them, they look decent.
Moving on, the two hosts then compare the rear section of the two SUVs. They highlight that if someone were to see only the rear of this fake Defender, they would not be able to recognize it as a Defender. The original car gets four LED taillights on each end. However, this fake car only gets a single-piece LED taillight. It also misses out on the spare wheel in the rear.
After showing the complete exterior, the two hosts start comparing the interiors of the two SUVs. They first open the fake model from the rear and reveal that it gets an unattached rear seat, which can be folded to increase the boot space. Also, underneath the rear boot is where the battery has been placed. As for the real model, it gets a much larger boot.
After this, they show the main cabin of the fake Defender. It gets a very poor-quality digital instrument gauge cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. There is also an air conditioning system and fake wooden inlay on the dashboard. Apart from this, it gets a crystal knob and a carbon fiber surround.
