Armaan explains that his friend was driving the SUV while he was in the passenger seat, with his wife in the back. Friends following them in a Toyota Fortuner witnessed the accident. After the tire burst, the driver lost control of the vehicle. However, the video does not provide details of how the crash occurred.
It appears that after the tire burst, the SUV grazed against the road’s railing. The wheel arch cladding, fenders, doors, and body panels were all damaged in the accident, and the headlamp of the SUV seems to have been affected as well. The YouTuber appears furious in the video and claims that the tires have been problematic, as he had raised similar complaints in the past.
It is unclear whether Armaan recently purchased the SUV and has been facing issues since then. In the video, it’s evident that he is extremely frustrated with the vehicle. The YouTuber mentions that they narrowly avoided a fatal accident due to the tire burst, especially with the Fortuner behind them and other vehicles on the road. Both versions come with a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard, and both are equipped with a mild hybrid system that provides an additional 20 PS boost and 200 Nm of torque when needed. The starting price for a new GLS 450d is Rs 1.37 crore (ex-showroom).
