However, underneath his tough attitude is a soft father who loves his child more than anything. Recently, Yograj Singh was interviewed, and in this interview, he showcased a gift that has been custom-made for his son Yuvraj Singh. It is Yuvraj Singh’s 25-year-old Honda City, which has been given a custom paint job and a livery that shows the cricketer’s journey to date.

In this interview, the host highlights that this particular car was once gifted by Yograj Singh to Yuvraj Singh, and now it has been modified by him to make it into a trophy on wheels.
Yograj Singh tells the story of this Honda City
Following the introduction, the host introduces Yograj Singh and then asks him to talk about this particular Honda City sedan. To this, Singh starts by mentioning that this particular sedan was a gift given by him to Yuvraj Singh 25 years ago. He highlights that Yuvraj always used to ask him to buy a new car for him.
However, Yograj always declined his request and stated that he would only get a car if he did something extraordinary. So, after Yuvraj Singh won the Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka, he immediately called him and asked him to buy a car. To this, Yograj then replied that once he reaches home, they will think about it.
To tease him, he added that he would deserve a car once he played for the Indian cricket team. Following this, before Yuvraj returned to India, Yograj had called to arrange this particular car. He states that back in 1999, only four Honda City sedans were brought to India, and he bought the silver-colored car for Yuvraj.
After this, he brought the car home and then covered it properly between a few other cars and went with his wife to pick up Yuvraj from the airport. Following this, while they were returning, Yuvraj Singh was very upset that his father did not buy him a car. However, after reaching home and checking out the car, he was filled with happiness.
Yuvraj added Rs 1 lakh audio system
During the interview, Yograj Singh also highlighted that after getting the car and driving it for a while, Yuvraj asked him to give him Rs 1 lakh for upgrading the audio system of this car. Yograj was shocked, but he still gave him the money. He then added that after this, Yuvraj used to drive around in this sedan with friends to each and every match.

Following this, the interviewer then asks Yograj Singh about the current look of the car. To this, he replied that as the car is now 25 years old, he wanted to revamp it and once again show it to his son. For this, he had this car painted in a custom sporty yellow color and added alloy wheels and his favorite images of Yuvraj Singh.
This particular car has also been given a custom black and yellow interior with “Yuvi’s Honda” embossed on the headrests. It also gets an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system and an upgraded audio system. He then added that he showed this car to Yuvraj Singh, and they went for a drive. Also, he concluded by stating that this particular car will be handed over by him to his grandchild.
