2024 BMW M340i Launched In India At Rs 74.9 Lakh

The German luxury automotive giant BMW India has launched the new 2024 model year M340i in India. This sporty sedan, known for its powerful B58 engine, has been launched with a price tag of Rs 74.9 lakh. For the 2024 model year, the company has given the M340i a few key updates. BMW is also offering the new M340i in two new shades: Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red.
BMW has updated the new 2024 M340i with a few subtle exterior design changes. This sedan now comes equipped with an updated M-specific grille, which has been finished in black to add to the sporty touch. It also gets M-specific ORVM housings and dual exhaust tips.
Overall, the front fascia looks very similar to the 2023 facelifted model. It comes with the same sleek-looking adaptive LED headlights, which also get beautiful L-shaped LED DRLs. As for the side profile, it now also gets a set of 19-inch black alloy wheels.
On the inside, the new BMW M340i gets Vernasca leather seat covers with M stitching. It looks very sporty and premium. Apart from this new addition, the M340i’s 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which are called the “Widescreen Curved Display” by BMW, get the latest 8.5 BMW operating system.
What’s also new is the pricing. This time around, the BMW M340i has been priced at Rs 74.9 lakh. It is a Rs 2 lakh bump from the pricing of the previous model year M340i. Presently, the BMW M340i takes on the Audi S5 and Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG in India.
BMW has not changed anything under the bonnet of the new M340i. This means that it still comes equipped with a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assist. For those who may not be aware, it is called the B58 motor, and it is considered one of the most tuner-friendly engines from BMW.
In the latest M340i, it makes a maximum power of 374 PS and 500 Nm of peak torque. As for the transmission, this sporty sedan gets an 8-speed automatic transmission. The M340i is known for its all-wheel-drive configuration, where it sends its power to all four wheels.
Apart from the BMW M340i, BMW a while ago also launched the new 3 Series Gran Limousine M Sport Pro Edition in India. This is the top-of-the-line variant of the 3 Series sold in India. BMW gave this special edition model a new blacked-out kidney grille, adaptive LED headlamps, and a glossy black rear diffuser.
It also received a front bumper trim finished in a Dark Shadow Metallic finish. BMW offers the key of the M Sport Pro Edition with M-specific inserts, M door sill finishers at the front and rear, and an M-specific aero package.
Unlike the M340i, the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine M Sport Pro Edition comes powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. It makes 254 bhp and 400 Nm of torque and comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This particular variant is priced at Rs 62.6 lakh. The popular television actress Bhavika Sharma recently bought this sedan. Also Tiger Shroff owns BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine as well.
