Hyundai will officially launch the facelifted version of the Alcazar in the coming weeks. Hyundai will be officially launching the Alcazar on September 9. We have seen spy pictures of the Alcazar on the internet, giving us a fair idea of how the upcoming Alcazar SUV will look. However, it appears that official images of the upcoming Alcazar facelift have leaked online before the official launch.

The images of the upcoming Alcazar facelift recently surfaced online, and as expected, the design of the 6-seater SUV is heavily inspired by the current version of the Creta. We see a connecting LED bar that meets the dual-function LED DRLs, which are shaped like the letter H. The front grille has also been revised.

It is similar to the one seen on the Creta, but we see dark chrome horizontal slats on it. The headlamps are all LEDs, placed on the bumper just like before. The design of the headlamps is also similar to the Creta. The bumper and the front faux skid plate get a bulky design, adding muscle to the car.

We see piano black wheel arches with dual-tone 8-spoke alloy wheels. The design of the wheels is also new. We see a silver-colored skid plate along with roof rails and body-colored door handles. There are no evident changes on the side profile of the SUV. The next image shows the rear of the Alcazar facelift.

The design of the tail lamps and the cluster is a mix of what we see in the Hyundai Creta and Venue. There are vertical elements in the LED tail lamps along with a horizontal element that runs across the width of the car. The rear gets a smoked tail lamp design with Alcazar branding under the glass.

We see a signature badge on the right side bottom of the tailgate with a turbo badge on the left-hand bottom corner. We expect Creta-like changes for the interiors as well. It wouldn’t be wrong to anticipate a Creta-inspired dashboard with twin 10.25-inch screens. One of them would be the instrument cluster, while the other would be the touchscreen infotainment system.

We also see the panoramic sunroof in one of the leaked images. The Emerald Green color seen here in the leaked pictures looks elegant and suits the SUV well. A similar shade is available with the Creta too. As for engine options, Hyundai won’t be making any changes. It will be offered with the same set of petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 1.5-liter turbo unit that generates 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque.

This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox option. The diesel engine on the Alcazar is also a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit that generates 115 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque.

This engine is also available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. With all these changes and feature updates, the Hyundai Alcazar will become more expensive, and the SUV will compete with the likes of the Kia Carens, which is also due for a facelift.
