Upcoming Hyundai Venue Second Generation Spotted Testing [Video]

The sub-compact SUV segment of India has been growing exponentially every year, and the Hyundai Venue has been one of the top sellers in this segment. It, however, has been long overdue for an upgrade, and the company is now working on the same. Recently, a new spy video showing four completely covered test mules of the upcoming Hyundai Venue second generation was seen being tested on public roads. Along with these Venue test mules, there was a new Kia Seltos second-generation prototype as well.
This video showing the new Hyundai Venues on test has been shared on YouTube by Anurag Choudhary on their channel. In this short video, we can note that a total of three Hyundai Venues covered with heavy black covers were driving in a convoy through a road with heavy traffic. Additionally, there was a Kia Seltos which was also covered, and just ahead, there was another Hyundai Venue second-generation mule.
From the video, we can note that the rear portions of these Hyundai Venue test mules were completely covered. However, we can note that the rear LED taillights will get a sleek design. Also, the rear bumper was seen with four rear parking sensors. There will most likely be a camera, and top-of-the-line variants could also get a 360 reverse camera. Although the bumper was completely masked, it will also boast a brand-new design.
Moving to the side profile, we can note that all test mules of the second-generation Venue have 16-inch alloy wheels with five chunky spokes with vertical slats. All of them were finished in silver color. Apart from these, the silver roof rails appeared to be new and more pronounced. The overall silhouette of the Venue looks the same as the current-generation model.
Coming to the main highlight of the second-generation Venue, we can note the front fascia has been completely changed, and it now looks a lot more sharp and aggressive. This time around, the LED DRLs will boast a C-shape which will cover almost the entirety of the corners of this SUV. This time around, there will also be a connecting LED light bar in the middle as well, which ties it with the new Creta, as well as the Alcazar and Verna.
Also, just underneath these LED DRLs are the two sleek pods of the main LED headlight units. Apart from these, the grille of the Venue has been completely changed. It will now get 15 hollow rectangular elements. The front bumper has also been renewed, and eagle-eyed viewers will be able to note the ADAS level 2 radar sensor on the lower air dam of the SUV. Most likely, there is a front camera somewhere as well.
Unfortunately, this spy video could not show the interior of the Venue second generation, as it was hidden under a cover. However, most likely it too will get dual 10.25-inch connected screens for the infotainment system and digital instrument gauge cluster. Other features may include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging pad, powered and ventilated front seats, along with others.
Most likely, the second-generation Venue will carry forward the current powertrain options. These include a 1.0 turbo-petrol, 1.5 diesel, and 1.2 NA petrol engine options. As for the pricing, expect to see a slight bump over the current model’s price of Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh due to numerous feature additions.
