Upcoming Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Spotted Testing With Triple Screen Layout

Mahindra Automotive stunned India by launching the first affordable vehicle in the country with a triple-screen layout on the dashboard with the XEV 9E electric SUV. Now, as the XUV700, the seven-seater ICE SUV has been out for a while without any major facelifts. The company is planning to launch the new XUV700 facelift in India. Recently, a test mule of this upcoming model was spotted testing, and it was noted that it too will be getting triple screens inside.
First off, let's talk about the interior of the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 facelift. Over the last few months, there have been a few sightings of the XUV700 facelift. However, the most recent sighting showed that this SUV will be coming equipped with three screens on the dashboard, just like the XEV 9E.
These will be three 10.25-inch screens, which will be connected to each other. The first will be positioned in front of the driver, which will be the digital instrument gauge cluster. Then there will be the central touchscreen infotainment system, and finally, there will be a touchscreen for the front passenger.
With this screen, the passenger will be able to control the infotainment system and use it for their personal entertainment as well. Most likely, the Mahindra XUV700 will now also be getting MAIA – Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture. It could also include the super-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor with 24 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
Additionally, it will support Wi-Fi 6.0 and Bluetooth 5.2. We can also expect Mahindra to offer the facelifted XUV700 with Mahindra VisionX, the Augmented Reality HUD, along with the LiveYourMood system. At the moment, it has not been confirmed, but the 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos could also be offered with the new XUV700.
In terms of the exterior design, this particular test mule was spotted wearing camouflage, which conceals a lot of design details. However, what we can note is that the SUV will come equipped with a new front grille with iconic Mahindra slats. It was also seen with bulged-out Thar-like round LED headlights.
Most likely, these lights have been placed to hide the actual design of the new headlights that will be offered. As for the side profile, the silhouette appeared the same, and the alloy wheel size and design were also the same. Lastly, the rear also did not boast any major changes. Most likely, the front and rear bumpers will be tweaked like in every facelifted model.
The Mahindra XUV700 will most likely retain the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine. Transmission options are also likely to remain the same, with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
At the moment, the exact date of launch of the Mahindra XUV700 has not been revealed. However, it is believed that it could be launched sometime around the festive season of this year. As for the pricing, it is expected to see a bump from the current pricing of Rs 14.49 lakh to Rs 25.89 lakh.
