All-New 2024 Maruti Dzire: New Pictures Show More

Maruti Suzuki will launch the newest generation of its popular Dzire sedan in India on November 11, 2024. In the past couple of days, we have seen multiple leaked images and videos revealing the interior and exterior details of this vehicle. A recent YouTube video posted on the channel Narru’s Auto Vlogs discusses the design and features of the new Dzire in detail. Though we have already seen/ known most of these, it is definitely worth giving it a watch.
The exterior design will be a complete departure from that of the previous generation. The front fascia will have the biggest change and would probably be the best-looking. It would come with a new, large grille with horizontal slats and minimal-yet-tasteful Chrome detailing, angular headlamps that would remind of some Audi cars or could probably look like a mature evolution of those of the Ciaz. The front bumper gets Black housings for the circular fog lamps. A slight influence of Toyota’s design can also be seen. The headlamps could likely be LED units.
When viewed from the side, it is evident that the new car stays clear of the ‘Swift with a boot’ form. There is a degree of cohesiveness to its design. The new wheels complement the car’s design well. Chrome usage seems to be sane on the dealer stock. They could, however, be offered as accessories.
At the rear, visual similarities could be found in the tailgate design, with the Ciaz. The tail lamps get Y-shaped LED elements and are all-new. There is even a neatly integrated high-mount stop lamp. Interestingly, the new Dzire rides on thin tyres- the reason for this could be an effort to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
The disproportionate tyres are the most evident from the rear. Having said this, the fourth generation could be the best-looking Dzire Maruti has ever made. We have discussed its design in detail, in a previous article.
The interior will have a complete revamp. It will have a new Tetra-tone colourway comprising Black, Beige, Satin Silver and Faux wood colours/finishes. The dashboard looks clean and has tasteful textures and finishes. What looks like a free-standing 9-inch touchscreen takes centre stage and the AC controls look to have been borrowed from the new Swift. The infotainment system will have wireless Carplay and Android Auto. The vehicle also comes with a new steering wheel with integrated audio and telephony controls, along with those for cruise control.
The key features to be expected on the new Dzire are a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, traction control, rear AC vents and charging points, wireless charger, analogue instrument cluster with digital MID, etc. The leaked photos show fabric seats, height-adjustable headrests and a practical rear armrest. 6 airbags will be standard across variants. For the first time in its history, the new sedan will come with a single-pane sunroof. The same will make it the first to get it in its segment.
It will use the same three-cylinder, 1.2L petrol engine from the new Swift. The powertrain will be able to generate 80 BHP and 112 Nm. There will be both manual and automatic transmissions for the new Dzire. A CNG version will join at a later date, which will only come with a manual gearbox.
In the Indian market, the prime rival to the new Dzire would be the Honda Amaze. This compact sedan is expected to get an update soon in the country. While we have had no clear word on it yet, speculations suggest that the new Dzire could be priced from 6.7 lakh, ex-showroom.
