New Tata Altroz: Teaser Released Ahead Of May 22nd Launch [Video]
Tata Motors has finally released the first teaser of the soon-to-be-launched Altroz facelift. This time around, the Altroz will be getting the much-awaited and required facelift. From the teaser, we can note the new Altroz will be getting a brand-new front fascia, new LED headlights, new alloy wheels, and a set of new taillights. Tata Motors will launch the Altroz facelift on May 22nd.
Tata Altroz facelift first teaser released
The first official teaser of the Tata Altroz facelift has been shared on YouTube by Tata Motors Cars on the channel. It starts off with the front end of this new premium hatchback. We can note that the headlight of the new Altroz has been completely changed, and it now gets a set of two sleek LED pods. There is also an LED DRL, which looks very sharp.
In addition to this, the Altroz facelift also gets a brand-new 3D grille, which is finished in gloss black and looks very premium. Apart from this, the front bumper of this vehicle has been made a lot more aggressive and houses the LED fog lights just underneath the LED headlights. There is also a large air dam on the lower portion of the front bumper. Eagle-eyed viewers will also be able to note a front camera, suggesting that it could come with the 360-degree camera.
Moving on to the side profile, Tata Motors has given this new facelifted iteration flush-type door handles, which we have already seen on the Tata Curvv and Curvv EV. The driver-side door handles get a request sensor, and also it gets a small LED light as well. Also, like all the facelifted models, the Altroz facelift gets a set of redesigned dual-tone finished alloy wheels. The overall silhouette of the side profile looks the same as the current model.
As for the changes on the rear, Tata Motors has radically redesigned it. The main highlight of the new Altroz facelift is the connected LED taillight. Apart from this, the rear bumper has also been made a lot more aggressive and elevates the overall premium appeal of this hatchback.
Interior
At the moment, the company has not released the teaser showing the interior of the upcoming Altroz facelift. However, it has been reported that the new model will get a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster and a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also come with automatic climate control, single-pane electric sunroof, and others.
Powertrain options
Like all facelifts, Tata Motors will not be offering any new powertrain options for the Altroz facelift. It will continue to get the same 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine of the Racer version will also be retained. As for the CNG model, it will also most likely be getting the same 1.2-litre engine, which makes 77 bhp of power and 97 Nm of torque.
Tata Altroz facelift launch
Tata Motors will be officially launching the new Altroz facelift on May 21. In terms of the pricing, we can expect a bump over the current pricing of the Altroz. At the moment, the Altroz starts at Rs 6.65 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 11 lakh. Once launched, it will be taking on the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza premium hatchbacks.
