Tata Motors is all set to launch their new contender in the highly competitive compact SUV segment on August 7. Recently, multiple YouTube videos surfaced which showed the Tata Curvv ICE and the Curvv EV from the exterior. However, none of the videos showcased the cabin of the car. The brand has released a new promotional video of the electric version of the coupe SUV in which the final interior can be seen for the first time ever.

As seen in the exterior, the interior of the Curvv EV will highly resemble its smaller sibling, the Nexon. The overall design will be quite similar and the Curvv will borrow switchgear and equipment from the Nexon itself. Now, let’s discuss in detail, what the Curvv EV will offer.

It is clear from the video that the interior is quote similar to that of the Nexon. Inside, the Curvv EV will offer a large 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity (same unit offered in top end trims of the Nexon), a four spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo borrowed from the Tata Harrier and a touch based AC controls seen in other Tata cars.

Additionally, the Curvv EV will come fully loaded with features such as a panoramic sunroof, six way adjustable powered seats, ventilated front seats, cruise control, day/night IRVM, two way recline rear seats, front & rear fast charging type C ports, connecter car tech, powered tail gate, flush door handles, 18 inch alloy wheels and much more.

Behind the illuminated logo steering wheel, a 10.25 inch instrument cluster can be seen which is the same as the one offered in the Nexon. Additionally, the dashboard trim in the Tata Curvv EV is finished in a silver texture instead of the regular black finished which is offered in the Nexon.

As per sources, the Curvv EV will have a very similar center console to the Nexon. This means that the Curvv EV could get the same rotary drive selector, gear lever and wireless charging pad. The door pads will be the same as the Nexon. We can expect the ICE version of the Curvv to feature similar design elements as the EV version with minor changes only.

Safety is a major USP of Tata cars and the Curvv is expected to be no different. In terms of safety features, it will get six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, ESP, a driver drowsiness alert system, and Level 2 ADAS features.

The engine options for the ICE version of the Curvv have not been confirmed yet but sources suggest that the Curvv EV could get two battery pack options. The first option is a bigger 55 kWh battery pack which promises a driving range of up to 600 kilometers in a single charge. The second battery pack is likely to be the 40.2 kWh unit borrowed from the Nexon.EV’s long range version. The smaller battery pack should give the Curvv a range of about 400 Kms.
