Tata is one of the leading car manufacturers in India, and they have lately been working on several new models for the Indian market. One such product is the Tata Punch. It was Tata’s first micro SUV and was well received by buyers across the country. Tata has been working on the Punch facelift for quite some time, and now we have new images of the Punch facelift test mule, along with the spy shots of the interior for the first time of the upcoming micro SUV.

The images have been shared by RushLane on their website. In the newly leaked images, we see a heavily camouflaged SUV. The car doesn’t look too different from the test mules that were spotted before. The exterior design of the Punch facelift now looks inspired by the Punch EV, which is already on sale in the market.

The upcoming SUV will have a redesigned front fascia. It is expected to come with a connecting LED bar or "welcome bar" as Tata likes to call it. If not, it will get a new LED DRL and turn indicator setup, redesigned front bumper, grille, and even the headlamps. The headlamps are likely to draw inspiration from the units seen on the Harrier and Nexon.

Coming to the side profile, the overall design remains the same. The major difference here would be the wheels. Tata might offer better-looking or newly designed wheels in the Punch facelift.

The interiors of the Tata Punch facelift have been spotted for the first time. In the pictures, we get a glimpse of the cabin of the Punch SUV. The major difference here is the large 10.25-inch floating-type touchscreen infotainment system in the center of the dashboard.

The layered dashboard is finished in dual-tone, where the lower part gets an ice grey shade while the upper portion is finished in black. The AC vent design on the SUV also looks slightly different from the outgoing model. Apart from that, the steering wheel on the Punch facelift is also a new unit.

It is, in fact, the same twin-spoke gloss black unit with an illuminated Tata logo that we have seen on many Tata cars. There are steering-mounted controls, and behind the steering wheel, we also see a fully digital instrument cluster. This looks similar to what we have seen in many other Tata cars in the past.

Apart from this, everything else remains the same as before in the cabin. The Tata Punch facelift is expected to retain the same engine as the current version. It uses a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 86 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox option.

Tata is offering the Punch with both petrol and CNG fuel options. It never came with a diesel engine at all. The CNG version of the Punch facelift might get an AMT gearbox, just like the Tiago and Tigor. With all these changes and updates, prices are expected to go up. Tata is expected to launch the Punch facelift sometime later this year.
