Aston Martin has launched the all-new Vanquish in India. With an ex-showroom base price of Rs 8.85 Crores, it has become the carmaker's most expensive offering for India. The DBS Superleggera replacement will compete mainly with the Ferrari 12Cilindri which has a base ex-showroom price of 8.5 Crores in India. The new GT from Aston Martin gets a host of updates. It stands exclusive as just 1000 units will be produced. A limited number will be allotted for the Indian market.

2025 Aston Martin Vanquish Has The Brand's Most Powerful Engine

The Vanquish is the most powerful Internal Combustion Engined (ICE) Aston Martin to go on sale in India. Unlike supercar makers resorting to smaller turbocharged engines, Aston Martin has chosen a full-size V12 petrol for the Vanquish. It is, however, not naturally aspirated. This 5.2-litre V12 engine gets twin turbochargers and is capable of producing 823 bhp and 1,000Nm of peak torque. The transmission is an 8-speed unit sourced from ZF.

The Vanquish has a rear-wheel drive (RWD) layout and can sprint to a speed of 100 kph from a complete standstill in just 3.3 seconds. The top speed is an incredible 344 kph- the highest on an Aston Martin series production model.

In terms of powertrain output and performance, the new Vanquish is miles ahead of its predecessor. The previous model had a bigger 6L naturally aspirated V12 engine that used to produce 573hp and 620 Nm. It used to take 4.1 seconds for the zero-to-100 kph run and the top speed stood at 249 kph. The twin turbocharging technology is to be thanked for the massive hike in performance.

The new Vanquish is based on the same bonded Aluminum platform as the DB12 and Vantage. However, this architecture has been heavily re-engineered for the new GT. The lateral rigidity is 75% more than what you see on the DBS 770 Ultimate, as there is a heavily reinforced underbody bracing.

The wheelbase too has grown by 80mm, and this translates into increased stability and better dynamics. The new Vanquish also has specially tuned Bilstein DTX dampers (first seen on DB12) and larger anti-roll bars.

Design And Features

The new coupe looks sporty and dynamic. It encompasses the manufacturer's timeless and contemporary design ethos. Key highlights of the front fascia are a broad grille, striking Matrix LED headlights, and a large splitter.

The sides are sculpted and there are flush door handles and 21-inch forged alloy wheels as well. These are shod with high-performance Pirelli P Zero rubber. The rear gets a stainless steel quad-exhaust system. There is an optional Titanium exhaust on offer as well.

Key features include two 10.25-inch displays, three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, power-adjustable ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, dual-zone climate control, and a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system. The company has retained physical controls for all essential functions.
