2025 Kia Carens: Launch Timeline Revealed

Kia is readying the 2025 version of the Kia Carens MPV. The upcoming Carens MPV has been spotted testing on several occasions. As per the recent reports that are surfacing online, the upcoming Kia Carens 2025 will be officially launched in the market in the month of May. The launch is expected to happen in the second week of May this year.
The upcoming MPV has been spotted testing on several occasions, and it was very clear from the spy pictures that the new model will look different from the current version. It would look a lot more sophisticated, sharp, and premium on the outside. In fact, Kia has also confirmed that the upcoming Carens model will be sold alongside the current version.
The upcoming Kia Carens refresh, or the Carens 2025, will get a new name. In fact, it would retain the Carens name, but it would get a suffix to go after it. We currently don’t have information on what the suffix will actually be.
Both these models will be offered in the market as they would cater to different needs of customers. It won’t be wrong to say that Kia, with the new Carens, is aiming to compete against the Innova Crysta, which has remained undisputed in this segment for decades now. From the information that is currently available online, it looks like Kia is planning to do something like that.
This is a strategy that we have seen Toyota use in the past. They currently sell both the Innova Crysta and the Hycross in the Indian market, and both models have a significant waiting period. For those who want an MPV with a comfortable ride and not too many features, they can opt for the Crysta, while others who want a premium product can opt for the Hycross.
Kia is also looking at a similar strategy. The upcoming 2025 Kia Carens will be equipped with sharp styling elements along with features like Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and more. It will get SUV-like styling which would appeal to a lot of customers.
If you do not want premium features and bold styling, the regular Carens will still be available. This way, Kia can differentiate both models and offer more options to customers.
The current version of the Kia Carens is available with three engine options. With the 2025 model, there is a possibility that Kia might offer the Carens facelift with only two engine options. The naturally aspirated petrol engine available with the pre-facelift Carens may not be offered in the facelifted version.
The Carens 2025 will likely come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine. The turbo-petrol engine will be available with manual and DCT gearbox options, while the diesel engine will be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.
Coming to prices, the current version of the Kia Carens starts at ₹10.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹19.70 lakh. The upcoming 2025 Carens is expected to be priced competitively against the Innova Crysta. In coming weeks, we hope to share more information about this upcoming MPV.
