2025 Kia Seltos Launched: Three New Variants Introduced

Kia debuted in the Indian market with its SUV, the Seltos. It appealed to customers almost immediately. This SUV was initially launched in 2019, and since then, Kia has sold over 6 lakh units in domestic and international markets. The SUV received a facelift a few years ago, and now the South Korean car manufacturer has launched the 2025 version of the Seltos. The price for the Kia Seltos 2025 starts at Rs 11.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia has also introduced three new feature-loaded variants. The company has now introduced the HTE (O), HTK (O), and HTK+ (O) variants across the NA petrol, turbo petrol, and turbo diesel engine options.

The HTE (O) is the updated base variant of the Seltos, and in the 2025 version, this variant comes with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 6-speaker audio system, steering-mounted controls for infotainment and MID, halogen projector headlamps, 16-inch steel rims, a star map LED-connected LED tail lamp, DRLs, a full digital cluster with a 10.5 cm (4.2”) color TFT MID, a tilt steering wheel, and more.
The HTK (O) variant starts at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant offers features like a panoramic sunroof, sleek 16-inch alloy wheels, a stylish roof rail, a functional rear wiper with washer and defogger, cruise control, elegant illuminated power windows (on all doors), and a vibrant mood lamp with a combination of sound, a smart key motion sensor, and many more features.
The HTK+ (O) variant’s price starts at Rs 14.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant gets an electronic parking brake, LED headlamps with sequential LED turn indicators, LED fog lamps, a parcel tray, auto-fold ORVMs, a glossy black front grille, and more.
The Kia Seltos is available with two petrol and one diesel engine option. The SUV comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and an IVT gearbox option. The other petrol engine is a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit that generates 160 PS and 253 Nm of peak torque.
This turbo petrol engine is offered with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT gearbox option. The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine generates 115 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The price for the Kia Seltos now starts at Rs 11.13 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 20.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kia is also working on a hybrid version of the Seltos. The SUV has been spotted testing internationally. The SUV will receive a major update in terms of design and features. It is likely to get a more aggressive and redesigned front end, giving it a premium look. The SUV is expected to go on sale sometime next year.
