The Kia Syros is currently the newest entrant in the highly competitive sub-compact SUV segment. This SUV aims to fulfill the needs of the buyers in this segment who want a lot more space and premium features inside the car. Recently, showing all the details of the new Kia Syros HTK Plus Opt Diesel variant, a detailed walkaround video has been shared online. The vlogger shows why this particular variant of the Syros will become one of the most popular variants in the country.
This video of the Kia Syros detailed walkaround has been shared on YouTube by Fuel Injected on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that the Kia Syros is the latest sub-compact SUV from the brand, and it is the HTK Plus Opt diesel variant. In this video, he will be showing all the things that make this SUV unique.
First off, he starts by showing the front-end design of the Kia Syros. He immediately mentions that many people have given it the name “Mini Land Rover Defender” because of its butch front-end design. The vlogger then highlights that this SUV takes its design inspiration from the Kia EV9 flagship electric SUV. It gets a closed top section, and the main grilles start from the lower section of the bumper.
Apart from this, he then shows the headlights of the SUV, which get vertically stacked LED pod lights and a vertical LED DRL. He adds that although this design looks very cool and futuristic, the headlight unit is positioned on the edge of the vehicle, and this area is prone to damage because of tight spaces and chaotic traffic in India.
Next up, he highlights that the Kia Syros is offered with not two, not four, but a total of six parking sensors on the front. It also gets a front camera and a radar for Level 2 ADAS. He then moves to the side profile of this vehicle and highlights the tallboy SUV-like silhouette. The vlogger mentions that it gets unique dual-tone black and silver 17-inch alloy wheels.
Apart from this, it also gets chunky squarish cladding on both wheel arches, and there are also pronounced silver roof rails. Next up, he moves to the rear of this SUV. As for the powertrain options, he highlights that the Syros comes with two engine options. This particular model is the diesel engined model which gets a 1.5-litre, four cylinder diesel engine.
This motor is capable of making 115 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, and it comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. He adds that this engine option will become the most popular on in the Syros lineup. He adds that the company also offers a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol which makes 120 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque, and it comes with a 6-speed manual as well as a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Next up, he moves to the cabin of the Kia Syros. The vlogger starts by stating that the interior of this SUV feels very premium and airy. It comes with a minimalist dashboard dominated by a 30-inch Trinity panoramic display, which houses the infotainment screen, digital instrument gauge cluster, and controls for the air conditioning system.
He highlights that this SUV is also offered with a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, ventilated front seats along with powered functionality for the driver seat. It also gets ventilated seats in the rear, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a premium audio system.
