2025 Mahindra Bolero Facelift Starts Reaching Dealerships: First Walkaround Video Reveals What’s Changed

The Bolero has been a long-standing nameplate for Mahindra in India. Despite being around for 25 years, this SUV continues to be in good demand, especially in rural and semi-urban India. The carmaker is set to launch the facelifted Bolero in early October. With days left for the event, dealer dispatches have already begun. A video shared on the channel Moto Boby shows two variants of the new Bolero from a dealer yard, revealing most of the changes. This comes soon after the new SUV was spotted on its final rounds of road testing.
At present, three variants are offered on the Bolero- B4, B6, and B6 (O). In the video, the host seems to be doing a walkaround of the B6 variant first. Mahindra has given the facelift slight cosmetic reworks on the outside. The overall shape and design remains the same. It continues to have the tall stance, upright proportions, rugged design, iconic rectangular headlamps, and even the tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The design focuses heavily on being functional.
Details like the front grille, for example, have been reworked. It is now finished in Black (atleast on the B6 variant) and comes with five vertical slats. Four of these get vertical Chrome strips while the one at the centre houses Mahindra’s Twin-Peaks logo. The headlamps remain almost unchanged, but are now better-looking with their slightly reworked detailing. The front bumper continues to have a rugged styling as well. No fog lamps can be seen on this variant.
Inside, the facelifted Bolero continues largely unchanged from its predecessor on the design front. The cabin layout is much the same as that of the previous model. Colours have, however, been tweaked. It also comes with a new steering wheel featuring integrated audio controls and a Satin trim. The key fob is also new.
The biggest change inside has come in the infotainment system. The new Bolero comes with a small touchscreen unit that fits perfectly in its dashboard and runs on Android. The video doesn’t talk about the audio system or the number of speakers. The SUV also comes with power windows for all doors. More storage spaces have been added to make the cabin more hospitable. The new Bolero gets a manual AC even on the top variant.
Later, the host gives a video tour of the range-topping B6 (O) variant. In addition to the features mentioned above, it gets fog lamps and a rear wiper. In terms of kit, the two sit in close proximity. We will have to wait till the launch to have accurate data on price and value offered by these.
The rugged design and packaging have always benefited the Bolero. As made clear by this video, Mahindra hasn’t tried to tamper this winning formula. The 2025 facelift has definitely made the Bolero more comfortable and easier to live with, without making it look or feel less like the family.
Even on the powertrain front, the facelifted SUV is likely to continue with its current 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine that makes 75 hp and 210 Nm. This will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox alone. The rumour also has it that Mahindra could explore rolling out a higher tune of this engine making around 98.64 hp and 260 Nm.
Since the overall proportions remain unchanged, the facelifted Bolero will also qualify for duty benefits. Mahindra will be able to price it competitively here, just like it did with the previous models.
