Maruti Suzuki has managed to pull all the eyeballs with the unveiling of its first all-electric SUV, the e Vitara. This new electric SUV made its official debut at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Recently, a detailed walkaround video of the new Maruti Suzuki e Vitara was shared online. In this, the vlogger shows all the exterior and interior design details of this unique and premium electric SUV from Maruti. The e Vitara will be showcased again at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Auto Expo.

The detailed walkaround video of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara was shared on YouTube by Motor1 Italia on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger giving a look at the exterior design of the new electric SUV from the brand. During this walkaround, he talks about the dimensions of the Maruti e Vitara.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Dimensions and platform

He mentions that the e Vitara is bigger than the ICE Grand Vitara and is not based on the same platform. Rather, the company has developed an electric-only platform called the Heartect-e skateboard platform. Most likely, the company plans to launch a few more electric models based on this platform.

The new e Vitara measures 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height, and has a 2,700 mm wheelbase. It also offers a decent ground clearance of 180 mm when compared to the Grand Vitara currently available in India.

It boasts a 100 mm longer wheelbase and is 5 mm wider as well. The vlogger in the video also compared the new e Vitara with a range of other European electric SUVs. He adds that these overall dimensions will help the e Vitara become a success in the European market due to the high demand for smaller SUVs.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Electric drivetrains

Next, the vlogger highlights the electric drivetrain options being offered by Maruti Suzuki. He states that there will be three electric drivetrain options. The first will be a front-wheel-drive variant offered with a 49 kWh battery pack.

It will generate a maximum power of 144 bhp and 189 Nm of torque and weigh around 1,700 kg. On the other hand, there will be a bigger battery pack option of 61 kWh, which will be offered with a front-wheel-drive configuration as well as a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration.

The former will make 174 bhp and 189 Nm of torque, while the latter will make 184 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. As per the vlogger, the weights of the 61 kWh battery pack option e Vitara could range between 1,800 and 2,100 kg.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Exterior design

Following the dimensions, the vlogger then starts talking about the exterior design of this electric SUV. He states that the e Vitara is largely based on the eVX concept, which was showcased in India and Japan. The company, however, has changed a few things to make it production-ready.

Among these changes, the main ones are at the front. The production-spec e Vitara gets a set of projector LED headlights at the front with Y-shaped LED DRLs. It also gets a closed grille, but there is a large air dam on the bottom section. Additionally, the company has added two LED fog lights on the bottom as well.

On the side profile, the new e Vitara gets hexagonal wheel arches with chunky claddings. Additionally, it also gets the same thick claddings on the doors as well. The same is continued on the rear bumper as well. Apart from this, at the rear, it gets a connected LED taillight as well.

Apart from this, there are physical buttons for the single-zone automatic climate control system.

Next, he adds that the SUV also gets a unique flat-top and bottom steering wheel, which looks very sporty. Other unique design elements of this SUV include a floating center console with charging ports located underneath, a rotary knob for gear selection, an electronic parking brake, and a large single-pane electric sunroof.
