Maruti eVitara Electric SUV In A Detailed Walkaround [Video]
The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, has finally debuted its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, in India. Recently, the company started shipping the e-Vitara to Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country. And now, videos of detailed walkarounds of this new EV SUV are being shared online. Today, we have one such walkaround video of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, which shows the SUV from the outside as well as the inside.
This Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara video from the Nexa dealership has been shared on YouTube by Arun Panwar on his channel. In this video, the vlogger highlights that he will be checking the newly unveiled e-Vitara. He highlighted that, at the moment, the company has not revealed the pricing of this SUV. However, most likely, it will be launched by the end of March.
Exterior Walkaround
Following the introduction, the vlogger starts showing the exterior design of the new e-Vitara. He states that, at first glance, the e-Vitara looks very bold and muscular. He added that it also boasts a very premium appearance. During the exterior design showcase, he also highlighted that Maruti Suzuki has designed this SUV from the ground up.
The vlogger mentions that, at the front, the e-Vitara comes with unique headlights that get a Y-shaped LED DRL and an LED projector headlight. Additionally, the SUV also gets a set of front parking sensors, a front camera, a sensor placed on the windshield for ADAS, along with a radar placed on the lower front bumper. Apart from these, the SUV also gets LED fog lights.
Moving on, he then shows the side profile of the vehicle. He highlights that the e-Vitara gets a rugged-looking side profile, thanks to the chunky cladding around the wheel arches and doors. Apart from this, the SUV also gets 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, which have a detachable cover. As for the roof, the e-Vitara comes with a large single-pane electric sunroof and no roof rails.
Following the side profile, the vlogger then moves to the rear of the vehicle. He states that the SUV comes with similar Y-shaped LED taillights. There is a clear connecting portion in the middle of these LED taillights. However, it does not get a connecting LED light bar in the middle. Apart from this, the vlogger mentions that the rear design also looks very premium.
Interior Design Details
After showing the complete exterior design and talking about it in detail, the vlogger shows the interior of the car. For this, he first opens the boot lid, which is manual. After this, he highlights that it gets ample space for large bags. Next up, he moves to the front of the vehicle and shows the dashboard of this SUV.
He mentions that the interior of the e-Vitara is the most premium interior he has seen on any Maruti Suzuki vehicle. The vlogger highlights that the vehicle gets a gloss black finish in window control surrounds, soft-touch materials on the dashboard, and leatherette and fabric upholstery on seats finished in brown and black. Also, it gets a connected display panel at the front.
The e-Vitara comes equipped with two screens—the one in the center is the infotainment system, and there is also a digital instrument gauge cluster. As for the features, it comes with automatic climate control, a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ADAS with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and more.
Powertrain Details
Finally, he talks about the powertrain details of this SUV. He mentions the powertrain options. The first is a 49 kWh battery with 144 bhp and 189 Nm torque from a single-motor setup. Then, there is the 61 kWh battery with 174 bhp in FWD and a dual-motor AWD variant producing a total of 184 bhp and 300 Nm torque. The vlogger concluded that the real-world range of this vehicle will be revealed at the time of the official launch.
