2025 Maruti Grand Vitara Gets Big Updates: Safety Boost, New Features And A Price Hike!

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has recently launched the Grand Vitara mid-size hybrid SUVs MY2025 model. This time around, the already popular Grand Vitara has been given a number of new features, including six airbags as standard, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and an 8-way powered driver seat, along with others. Maruti Suzuki has also increased the price of the new MY2025 Grand Vitara. These hikes range from Rs 2,000 up to Rs 41,000.

2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: What's new?

First off, let's talk about all the new feature additions to the 2025 Grand Vitara mid-size SUV. The first is the addition of a 6-speed automatic gearbox to the all-wheel drive variant of the Grand Vitara, which was previously not available. Apart from this, the company has also increased the safety of this SUV with the addition of 6 airbags.

What makes it more interesting is that 6 airbags are now standard on this vehicle. In addition to the airbags, the company has also added an electronic parking brake, which also comes with auto hold. It has to be noted that this feature is currently only on offer with the automatic variants of this SUV.

Moving on, the next feature addition is an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat. It also has an air purifier with a digital display and a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. The rest of the vehicle is exactly the same, which means that it still gets a panoramic sunroof, 10-inch infotainment system, and others.

Price hike and new variants

1.5-litre mild hybrid

Maruti Suzuki has also hiked the price of the 2025 Grand Vitara. Starting off with the 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol version, the base Sigma MT variant now starts at Rs 11.42 lakh. Previously, it was priced at Rs 11.19 lakh, which means that its price has been hiked by Rs 23,000. Other variants that have seen the same price hike are Delta MT and Delta AT, which are now priced at Rs 12.53 lakh and Rs 13.93 lakh, respectively.

Next up in the lineup are the Zeta MT and AT variants, which are priced at Rs 14.67 lakh and Rs 16.07 lakh, respectively. Both variants have seen a price hike of Rs 41,000. The company has added a few new variants as well. These are Zeta (O) MT and AT variants, priced at Rs 15.27 and Rs 16.67 lakh. Both of these variants make the panoramic sunroof more accessible.

As for the Alpha MT and AT variants, the pricing has increased by Rs 38,000, and both variants are now priced at Rs 16.14 lakh and Rs 17.54 lakh, respectively. Lastly, there are two new top-of-the-line variants, which are Alpha (O) MT and AT variants, priced at Rs 16.74 lakh and Rs 18.14 lakh, respectively.

1.5-litre mild hybrid with all-wheel drive

The Grand Vitara Alpha AWD MT variant has now been discontinued. The company now offers the Alpha AWD AT variant, which is priced at Rs 19.04 lakh. There is also the Alpha (O) AWD AT variant, which is priced at Rs 19.64 lakh. Both of these are brand-new variants.

1.5-litre strong hybrid

Maruti Suzuki has also introduced a new base variant for the 1.5-litre strong hybrid powertrain. This variant is the Delta Plus e-CVT, which is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh. Then there is the old Zeta Plus e-CVT variant, which is now Rs 2,000 more expensive, and it is priced at Rs 18.6 lakh.

There is another new variant – Zeta Plus (O) e-CVT – which is priced at Rs 19.20 lakh. The company also offers this strong hybrid model in Alpha Plus e-CVT and Alpha Plus (O) e-CVT (new), priced at Rs 19.92 lakh and Rs 20.68 lakh, respectively.

Powertrain details

The Grand Vitara is offered with three powertrain options. The first is the 1.5-litre mild hybrid powertrain, which makes 103 PS of power and 137 Nm of torque. Then there is the 1.5-litre strong hybrid option, which makes 116 PS and 141 Nm of torque. Lastly, there is a CNG version as well, which makes 88 PS and 121.5 Nm of torque.
