2025 Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition: New Teaser Released
The Japanese carmaker Nissan India is gearing up for the launch of the new Magnite Kuro Edition in India. This follows the launch of the facelifted Nissan Magnite, which is currently the only vehicle on sale from the brand. Like the previous Kuro Edition, the 2025 model is expected to give a blacked-out appearance to this popular sub-compact SUV. The interior will also get black upholstery along with other blacked-out highlights. Reportedly, the launch will take place later this month.
2025 Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition: Details
For the 2025 model, the facelifted Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition will most likely be based on the top-of-the-line Tekna Plus variant. In terms of changes from the standard Magnite, we can expect the new Kuro Edition model to get a blacked-out front grille and a new black skid plate. The design of the bumper itself is not expected to change.
On the side profile, the main highlights will be the blacked-out alloy wheels and the black roof rails. Additionally, the vehicle is expected to get blacked-out headlamp elements as well. Overall, the Magnite Kuro Edition will look very menacing in the fully blacked-out appearance. Most likely, this edition will help in pushing the sales of this sub-compact SUV.
Interior upgrades and features
Moving on to the interior of the soon-to-be-launched 2025 Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition, it is expected to get a fully black theme inside the cabin as well. Most likely, the seats will be upholstered in black with contrast stitching. Apart from this, we can expect a black roof liner, sun visors, door trims, door handles, and AC vent surrounds.
In terms of features, the new Nissan Magnite will carry over the feature list of the top-of-the-line Tekna Plus variants. This means it will come equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also get a 6-speaker premium audio system, a wireless charging pad, a 360-degree camera, and rear AC vents.
Powertrain options
In terms of powertrain options, the 2025 Magnite Kuro Edition is expected to get the same engine options as the current model. These include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 71–72 bhp of power and 96 Nm of torque. Transmission options for this engine include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
Meanwhile, the second engine option expected is the more powerful 1.0-litre turbo motor making 99 bhp and 152 Nm of torque. This motor in the standard Tekna Plus variant is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox and CVT options.
Rivals
Once launched, the 2025 Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition will take on rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kushaq, Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Currently, the Nissan Magnite starts at Rs 6.14 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.92 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant. We can expect to see a price bump of Rs 50,000–60,000 with the Magnite Kuro Edition.
