The French automaker Renault has finally launched the much-awaited Kiger facelift in India. This time around, the model has been given an extensive design overhaul to lure in more buyers. Exterior design changes

First off, let's start with the exterior design changes of the newly launched 2025 Renault Kiger. At the front, this sub-compact SUV now gets a brand-new front grille, which looks very sleek and premium as it is finished in gloss black color. The new Kiger offers the same split LED headlights and DRLs setup as the previous model.

As for the other highlight of the front end, the new model now gets a brand-new front bumper, which gives it a premium appeal. The lower section gets an octagonal dark grey bezel, and inside it is a black grille and the registration plate holder. The new Kiger also gets fog lights set on either side of the lower portion of the front bumper.

The previous model came with a black grille with silver elements and a simpler front bumper. Also, the pre-facelift model missed out on the fog lights, even on the top-of-the-line variants.

Moving to the side profile, the major change on the new Kiger is the brand-new set of 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Also, the sub-compact SUV gets functional roof rails, which have a maximum weight-carrying capacity of 50 kgs. The roof also gets a shark fin antenna and an integrated spoiler.

Renault has not made any significant changes to the design of the rear end of the new Kiger. It still gets the same C-shaped LED DRLs. The only major change is the design of the rear bumper, which gets a dark grey skid plate. It also gets rear parking sensors, a new Renault badge, and a rear windshield wiper, washer, and defogger.

It also comes equipped with automatic headlights and wipers and improved NVH with added insulation. As for the features carried over from the previous model, it gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a configurable instrument gauge cluster, drive modes, an Arkamys 3D audio system, and ambient lighting.

Renault has not changed the powertrain of the Kiger. It still comes offered with the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 72 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. This motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 5-speed AMT. The other engine on offer is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, which makes 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque. It also gets a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox as options.
