Facelifted Renault Kiger Launching Soon: Here's What It'll Look Like
The French automaker Renault will soon be launching the new generation Kiger sub-compact SUV in India. This popular model from the brand is produced in India at Renault’s facility located in Oragadam, Chennai, and sold in international markets including South Africa and Latin America. Now, recently, the new generation model has been launched internationally, which means that the same model will be launched in India very soon as well. Here's what the upcoming Renault Kiger will look like.
2025 Renault Kiger: Details
Design
First off, let's start with the exterior design of the Renault Kiger. At the front, the main highlight of the new Kiger is the brand-new gloss black grille, which gets a geometric diamond pattern. Apart from this, it also gets the signature split LED headlight setup, in which the top part gets sleek LED DRLs. Meanwhile, the main LED headlamps are located in the middle portion of the bumper.
Speaking of the front bumper, this new sub-compact SUV gets a brand-new and sharper-looking front bumper. There is a large air dam in the bottom section, which gets horizontal slats, and there is also a chunky faux silver skid plate, which adds to the premium appeal of this SUV. Additionally, there are fog lights on either side of this skid plate as well.
Moving on to the side profile, the new 2025 Kiger gets a much stronger SUV-like silhouette. The A, B, and C pillars, along with the roof of this SUV, are finished in high gloss black, which gives it a sportier appearance. As for the biggest highlight of the side profile, the Kiger gets a set of 16-inch 10-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. On the roof, it also gets pronounced roof rails as well.
As for the rear-end design, Renault has not changed a lot of things in the rear. It continues to boast the same C-shaped LED taillights, chunky matte black rear bumper, and a silver skid plate. There is also the same integrated double bubble rear spoiler on top of the rear tailgate. Overall, the new Kiger looks much more aggressive yet sophisticated.
Interior changes
In terms of the interior, the new Kiger gets an upgraded dashboard. It gets a similar set-up as the upcoming Renault Duster. However, it is slightly more premium and not as rugged as the mid-size SUV bound to launch later this year. The main highlight of the Kiger’s dashboard is its 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system.
It also gets a 7-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control, and the centre console has been changed as well. The overall interior is finished in black and silver color, which gives it a much more sporty appearance.
Powertrain
Powertrain options of the upcoming Kiger will remain the same. It will continue to get the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol making 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the more powerful 1.0-litre turbo petrol, which makes 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque, will also be offered. It will now get more 5-speed AMT gearbox options across various trim levels. Meanwhile, the standard gearbox will be a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Renault will launch the new Kiger soon
As mentioned above, the Renault Kiger has been developed by the Renault teams from India and France, and it is solely produced in India. Its production takes place in the company's plant in Oragadam, Chennai. Now, as the updated model has been launched internationally, it means that the production of the new model has already started. As a result, the launch of this same model in India will also take place seamlessly and soon.
