2025 Skoda Kodiaq Luxury SUV: New TVC Released [Video]

Skoda India launched the 2025 Kodiaq in April this year. The SUV has now started reaching dealerships and the deliveries too have begun in most places. The new Kodiaq comes in two trims- Sportline and the fully loaded L&K (Laurin and Klement). The price starts at Rs. 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker has now released the official TV commercial of the new Kodiaq.
The video stars two bees- a couple. One of them gets trapped in the Kodiaq, as it drives away. The other flies after the speeding car, to get its pair back. As the video progresses, we get to see the exterior design of the car in detail.
Several visuals of the cabin and the revised feature list can also be seen. We get to see the panoramic sunroof in detail. The new Kodiaq comes with a set of smart physical knobs that double as the controls for both the climate control and infotainment system. These can also be seen in the commercial. The video ends by showing the trapped bee getting freed from the Kodiaq, and returning to its partner.
The new Kodiaq has evolved much in terms of design. It comes with a bolder iteration of Skoda's signature 'Butterfly grille', new and sleeker LED headlamps, vertical Chrome slats and dark Chrome and Silver accents (on the L&K trim), silver roof rails, and a C-pillar finished in silver. The Sportline is quite sporty with its looks while the L&K leans more towards the classier side of things. The tail lights on both trims are LED units. Both ride on 18-inch dual-tone wheels.
The dimensions have been increased. The new model is now 4,758 mm long- 61mm more than the length of its predecessor. This added size translates into more cabin room and added comfort. The wheelbase is 2,971 mm. Surprisingly, the width has gone down slightly.
The new generation Skoda Kodiaq is available in five colour options- Velvet Red, Graphite Grey, Moon White, Magic Black, and Race Blue. There are two exclusive colour options as well, Bronx Gold Metallic for the Sportline and Steel Grey Metallic for the L&K.
The interior looks fresh and airy with its layout and the colours used. The dashboard gets a layered design. In addition to the ones already mentioned, the feature list also has multi-colour ambient lighting,3-zone automatic climate control, powered front seats, powered tailgate, seat ventilation, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 13-speaker Canton sound system, 13-inch touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster.
The L&K variant also comes with front seats that offer an integrated massage function. The gear selector on the new SUV sits on the steering column. The second row offers both slide and recline functions and comes with a central arm rest and cup holders.
Safety seems to have had a jump upwards on the new Kodiaq. This Skoda SUV has always been praised for its top-notch safety. The new Kodiaq's safety suite consists of 9 airbags, ESC, ABS, EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, hill descent control, 360-degree camera, Intelli-park assist, driver drowsiness detection, and pre-crash proactive passenger protection system.
Both trims of the Kodiaq feature the same powertrain. The vehicle is powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine as its predecessor, which is capable of producing 204 PS and 320 Nm of torque. This, if you'd notice, is 14 PS more than what the previous Kodiaq used to offer. The transmission offered is a 7-speed DSG. An All Wheel Drive (AWD) system is also part of the package.
