Tata Motors launched the facelifted Altroz in May 2025. The hatchback now comes in four broad trims (or 'Personas')- Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished. A careful distribution of features and powertrains makes each of these appeal to a different set of buyers, thereby maximising the vehicle's overall appeal. The mid-spec trims- Pure and Creative- could appeal to most value-conscious buyers as they come with all essential features and have attractive price tags. Detailed video tours of both these variants have now surfaced online.

Let's start with the 'Pure' persona. Think of this as the second base variant. All three engine options- 1.2L petrol, CNG and 1.5 diesel- can be had on this variant. These will come equipped with a standard 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine will also offer the choice of the newly introduced 5-speed AMT. The variant also offers all the colour options- Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Royal Blue, Pure Grey and Pristine White. The lower 'Smart' variant comes in just two shades.

Most of the exterior styling remains the same as the top-spec. You get automatic LED headlamps with separate pods and follow function. The vehicle also comes with an LED DRL strips that also double as the turn signal lamps. The car lacks front fog lamps. You will even find a housing for the front camera below the grille. The camera unit, however, is not offered.

On the side, you will find flush-type door handles. The wheels are 16-inch steel units with all-Black wheel caps. Tyres here are 185/60/R16 units. This variant gets disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The side view mirrors are electrically adjustable and foldable. You will also see a regular Black antenna. There is no sunroof offered either.

The key differentiating omission at the rear is that of the LED light bar. Here, just the tail lamps get LED elements inside. Two reverse parking sensors and a camera are on offer. The rear windshield doesn't get a wiper, but comes with a defogger.

The rear seat doesn't get split folding function, and there is no rear parcel tray provided either. The spare wheel is a 14-inch unit. The seats get Black fabric upholstery.

This variant comes with features like four power windows with 'auto down' function for the driver-side window, rain-sensing wipers, four-speaker audio system, height adjustable driver seat, two-spoke steering wheel with mounted audio and telephony controls, cruise control, semi digital instrument cluster (analog + 4-inch digital display), a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman, wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, selectable drive modes, automatic climate control, and more. Several features like push-button start and rear AC vents are not offered.

The Pure variant with the petrol manual powertrain has an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.69 lakh. The petrol AMT costs Rs 8.29 lakh, CNG has a price of 8.79 lakh, and the diesel 8.99 lakh- all ex-showroom.

Now, let's come to the 'Creative' persona. It come in two powertrain options- 1.2L petrol and 1.2L CNG. The diesel is not on the list. Both engines offer the 5-speed manual as the standard transmission, while the naturally aspirated petrol also gives the choice of the AMT. Like the 'Pure' trim, Creative also comes in all colour choices.

On the design front, the Creative variant offers full LED automatic headlamps with 'follow' functions, LED DRLs, bold bumper design, front and side camera units, a shark fin antenna, and more. It, however, misses out on front fog lamps, alloy wheels (comes with Hyperstyle steel wheels) and connected tail lamps (exclusive to the top-spec variant). The rear comes with a parcel tray as well.
