Tata Motors recently launched the facelifted iteration of its popular premium mid-size SUV, the Altroz, in India. The company, along with petrol and diesel-engined variants, also launched the CNG-powered variants as well. Recently, a detailed video review of the 2025 Tata Altroz iCNG Base Smart Trim with dual-cylinder technology has been shared online. This particular model is priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable CNG trim on offer.

This detailed walk-around video of the 2025 Tata Altroz iCNG has been shared on YouTube by Kataria Garage on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that, unlike other automakers which launch the CNG versions of their cars a few months after the launch of their standard models, Tata Motors has decided to directly launch the Altroz iCNG in India.

Exterior Updates

Following the introduction, the vlogger starts by showing the exterior of the Altroz iCNG. He mentions that, unlike the previous model, the new model now gets projector-based headlights. Prior to this update, only the top-spec variants of the Altroz came with projector headlights. The vlogger mentions that it has to be noted the base variant gets halogen-based projector lights.

Meanwhile, the higher variants get LED-based projector headlights. Next up, he adds that the base variant also misses out on LED fog lights. Apart from these, the front grille of the new Altroz has also been changed, and it now gets a gloss black grille with new elements. The front bumper is also completely new and gives it a much more modern appeal.

Next up, the vlogger shows the side profile of the Altroz facelift. This time around, Tata Motors has added flush-type door handles on the front doors, and the rear door handles have been hidden on the rear doors. Also, the base variant gets blacked-out ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.

Another highlight of the new Altroz iCNG base variant is that it gets 16-inch steel wheels. Moving on to the rear, the vlogger mentions that the new Altroz now gets LED taillights. He adds that the base variant misses out on the connecting LED light bar in the middle. Apart from this, the rear also gets a new rear bumper as well.

Interior Updates

The vlogger then opens the rear tailgate of this premium hatchback. He mentions that the Altroz iCNG comes equipped with Tata Motors’ dual-cylinder technology. Instead of a single large CNG tank, it gets two 30-litre CNG tanks which can hold up to 7–8 kgs of CNG. He then adds that the vehicle with the CNG tanks gets 210 litres of boot capacity.

Apart from this, he mentions that unlike the Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo, the Altroz does not lose the spare tyre. Next up, he shows the cabin of the vehicle and adds that it has an illuminated steering wheel, digital instrument gauge cluster, all four power windows, 90-degree opening doors, manual air conditioning system, and all-black fabric upholstery.

Moving on, he shows the engine bay of the Tata Altroz iCNG. He states that it comes equipped with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which makes 72 bhp and 103 Nm of torque. In the standard petrol mode, this motor makes 87 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. He mentions that the CNG model offers a mileage of around 26 km/kg.
