2025 Tata Altroz Premium Hatchback Officially Unveiled Before 22nd May Launch

Tata Motors has been teasing us with a bunch of videos and images of their upcoming premium hatchback, the Altroz. The images of the Altroz are available unofficially on the web, and now, before its official launch later this month, Tata has finally decided to unveil the hatchback. This is the first major update that this premium hatchback has received since its launch in 2020.
2025 Altroz
The updated Altroz hatchback gets a design that is similar to the outgoing model, but Tata has made minor changes to the exterior to differentiate it from the older version. It now gets a bold 3D front grille and sleek, sculpted lines on various parts of the body.
The car also gets a sleeker-looking headlamp unit with LED lights. The bumper of the hatchback has also been redesigned, and we see blacked-out cladding with sleek LED fog lamps integrated into the bumper. Coming to the side profile, we also see brand-new alloy wheels. These are 16-inch units, and Tata calls them Drag Cut alloys. Other changes on the side profile include flush-type door handles with illumination. This is something we have seen in the Curvv SUV.
At the rear, we see a redesigned bumper and LED tail lamp setup. There is a connected LED bar that runs across the width of the car at the rear. We already have an idea about the cabin of the Altroz hatchback. It looks similar to the older version but with cosmetic changes.
The Altroz gets a plush new Grand Prestigia dashboard. It also gets the large touchscreen infotainment system and the fully digital instrument cluster from the previous update. Tata is also offering ambient lights and leatherette upholstery with the new Altroz. The car also comes with single and dual-tone options along with features like an electric sunroof and many more standard safety features, including 6 airbags.
The 2025 Tata Altroz will be offered in five colour options. The new colours are Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pure Grey, Royal Blue, and Pristine White. Each of these shades is paired with distinct personas: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S.
The list of features offered with the 2025 Tata Altroz on each variant is mentioned in the image posted below.
Coming to the engine and transmission options, the upcoming Altroz hatchback comes with the same engine options as the outgoing model. There will be two petrol engines and one diesel engine on offer. The first petrol engine is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 87 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with manual and DCA gearbox options.
The next is a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The Altroz is currently the only hatchback in this segment to offer a diesel engine. This engine generates 88 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generates 120 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque.
The naturally aspirated petrol engine also comes with factory-fitted iCNG options, and the updated hatchback will continue to offer the same. With all these changes in place, Tata is likely to launch the hatchback at a competitive price tag.
