Tata Motors is known to be working on a major update to the Punch micro-SUV. The 2025 facelift is taking shape, and test mules of the same have been spotted already. The Punch now has both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and EV forms on sale. The facelift is expected to get major revisions in its exterior and interior designs. A digital render of what could possibly be the exterior design of the facelifted model has now surfaced. It shows the front and rear designs of the new Punch. The artist has managed to integrate as many details from the spy shots as possible.

Tata Punch Facelift Design Render: A Closer Look At It

The front view of the facelift shows clear resemblances to the outgoing car's design. The design of the bonnet stands close to that on the outgoing car. The sleek LED DRLs now get slight tweaks in their design. The headlamps sit below the DRLs, and are sleeker than before. We also get to see a massive front air dam, and gloss Black grille section. The render shows the micro-SUV in Red.

The rear design has more notable changes gone into it. The images show the vehicle to have a full-width LED strip connecting the tail lamps. Even the tail lamps get refreshed LED elements inside. The tailgate design is new and minor changes can also be spotted in the styling of the rear bumper. This rendering has tried its best to give us a look at what's coming...

Test mule sightings confirm that many of the design cues mentioned above will make it to the production form. The new Punch will also come with a new set of alloy wheels. Elements like the grille, headlamps etc will differ sharply with their design, from the outgoing model.

Inside the cabin, the layout and design will be complete improvements over those of the outgoing model. The new car will come with a revised equipment list as well. It is expectec to get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This is currently offered only on the EV. The update will bring it to the ICE as well. This screen will have slimmer bezels and better display quality.

As confirmed by spy shots, the new Punch will have a layered dashboard design, digital instrument cluster, two-spoke steering wheel with a gloss Black panel and illuminated tata logo and likely even a touch-based HVAC control panel, just like the one found in the new Altroz.

No Mechanical Tweaks

Changes on the new Punch are likely to be limited to the exterior and interior design. The engines and transmission options will be left untouched. The facelifted Punch will retain the current model's 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and the CNG engines. The naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 86bhp and 113Nm on the current model. Two gearboxes are offered- a 5-speed manual and an AMT.

The CNG version makes 73.4 bhp and 103 Nm of torque on the outgoing Punch and comes mated just to the 5-speed manual gearbox.

Expected Price Variations

The outgoing Punch comes in five variants- Pure, Pure (O), Adventure S, Adventure+ S and Creative+. and is priced in the range of Rs 6.20 lakh – Rs 10.32 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Considering the changes that have gone into it, the new model is likely to come with a premium.
