The Mahindra XUV700 is a very popular SUV from the brand and has been selling consistently over the years. Now, in order to push the sales of this popular SUV even further, the company is working on the development of its facelifted iteration. Recently, a test mule of the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 facelift was spotted testing in Pune, Maharashtra, and a number of key new details of it have been noted.

The video showing the Mahindra XUV700 facelift test mule on public roads has been shared on Instagram by Throttle Up on their page. In this short clip, we can note that a heavily camouflaged test vehicle of the XUV700 facelift was stuck in a traffic jam in Pune. It can also be noted that the driver-side window was open, which revealed the interior and dashboard layout.

Main updates will be inside

Mahindra XUV700 facelift’s main highlight will be the all-new interior, which looks exactly the same as the newly launched Mahindra XEV 9E. The new XUV700 facelift will come with the same triple-screen layout, which consists of three screens connected to each other. Each of these screens measures 12.25 inches.

The first screen, positioned in front of the driver, is the digital instrument gauge cluster. Then there is the central infotainment screen, and the third is for the front passenger; both of these are touchscreens. They will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB RAM, and 128 GB internal storage.

Another major highlight of the XUV700 facelift's interior is that it will come with an XEV 9E-like illuminated Mahindra logo-equipped two-spoke steering wheel. Other features that we can expect Mahindra to offer include a premium audio system from Harman Kardon with 16 speakers, tweeters, woofers, and a subwoofer, an electronic parking brake, a rotary ride mode selector, and a panoramic sunroof.

Exterior design updates

Now, coming to the exterior design updates, it can be seen that the front grille of the XUV700 facelift looks different. This time around, the SUV will get a new front grille, a new front bumper, and a few other tweaks which will differentiate it from the existing model.

Moving to the side profile, the main highlight will be a set of brand-new 18-inch alloy wheels. As for the rear, not much can be seen that has changed. It will continue to get the same LED taillights and overall rear tailgate design. The only major change that we can expect is a redesigned rear bumper.

Powertrain updates

Mahindra will most likely not offer any new powertrain option with the XUV700. This means that it will continue to be offered with the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former is capable of producing 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the latter makes 182 bhp and 420 Nm of torque with the manual gearbox and 450 Nm of torque with the automatic gearbox.

When will it launch?

At the moment, the company has not revealed the exact launch date of the XUV700 facelift. However, we can expect it to make its debut sometime in January 2026. Most likely, it will get a significant price bump due to the added new features. Once launched, it will rival the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar in India.
