The first feature that will be offered with the Renault Duster will be the multi-view camera. There will be a total of four cameras around the vehicle, which will provide the driver with a view of the SUV from all angles. This feature especially becomes useful when the vehicle is parked in a tight space.

Driver attention alert

A lot of people in India and across the globe get distracted or sleepy while driving cars. As a result, sometimes severe accidents take place. So, in order to avoid any such thing, Renault will be offering the Duster with a driver attention alert system. This system analyses the driver's behaviour through steering wheel movements and alerts the driver to take rest when needed.

Distance warning

Another major issue on Indian roads is that drivers sometimes are unable to judge the distance between their car and other vehicles in front due to distraction or other reasons. To help with this, the Duster gets a front radar which accurately calculates the distance of the vehicle in front and triggers an alarm with an audible and visible warning to avoid a collision.

Active emergency braking

Just in case the driver still does not pay attention to the road despite being warned by the distance warning system and distraction alert, the Duster gets an active emergency braking system. This system warns the driver of imminent risk, and if it notes that a collision is about to take place, it can apply brakes to stop it.

Lane keep assist

Due to distraction, a lot of times drivers swerve from one lane to another. Due to this, accidents take place, and to help in avoiding this problem, Renault is offering the Duster with a lane keep assist system. This system applies a correction to the steering wheel to bring the vehicle back into its lane if the driver is not paying attention and it veers away.

Traffic sign recognition

Drivers across the globe, on a lot of occasions, fail to pay attention to the traffic signs placed on the side of the roads. This then causes fines due to speed cameras placed on the roads. So, in order to make sure that drivers stay within speed limits, the Duster gets a traffic sign recognition system, and the signs are displayed on the digital instrument gauge cluster for the driver to note.

Other notable features

As for parking assistance, it gets front and side parking sensors, rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.
