The Czech carmaker Skoda has been riding high on the success of the Kushaq sub-compact SUV. However, it wants to continue this momentum, and to do that, the company is working on the development of the Kushaq facelift. Once again, the test mule of this facelifted Kushaq has been spotted testing, and a few new details have been uncovered. Most likely, the updated model will be launched by the end of this year or early 2026.

Design details: Front

From the spy shots of the front of the Skoda Kushaq, it can be noted that the SUV will be getting a revised front fascia. Like all mid-life facelifts, the new Kushaq will get a brand-new front bumper, and it could also get a revised front grille. The test mule did not reveal a lot of details, as it was covered in camouflage. The split headlight setup has been carried forward by the brand.

As per reports, the upcoming Kushaq’s main highlight feature will be Level 2 ADAS, for which it will get a front sensor and a camera setup. Its ADAS features will include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and autonomous emergency braking. It could also offer traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Side profile

Skoda has not changed anything on the side profile of the Kushaq facelift. It can be seen that the SUV will be getting the same body lines and chrome garnish on the side profile. This particular test mule was spotted with the same 17-inch gloss-black alloy wheels as the current model. However, our guess is that the facelifted model will get a different set of alloy wheels to set it apart.

Rear end

The rear end, just like the front fascia, was fully covered in camouflage. This means that it will also be getting a revised rear bumper. The LED taillights appear to be the same as the current model. It has been reported that the facelifted model will be getting a 360-degree camera.

Interior upgrades

At the moment, there are no spy shots of the interior of the upcoming Kushaq facelift. However, it is believed that the company could be keeping the overall dashboard and cabin layout the same as the current model. Still, it could be getting a new color scheme for the upholstery.

It could also get ventilated seats, and the main highlight, as per reports, will be the panoramic sunroof. Currently, a number of rivals of the Kushaq offer this premium feature. The current Kushaq comes equipped with features such as a fully digital color instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Powertrain options

skoda kushaq limited edition

Skoda will not be changing anything under the bonnet of the Kushaq. This means it will still be offered with the same 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. The smaller 1.0-litre engine will likely continue to offer around 115 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the more powerful 1.5-litre engine will deliver 150 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

As for transmission duties, the six-speed manual gearbox, a six-speed torque converter automatic, and the seven-speed DSG, the same as the current model, will be offered. We can expect a slight price bump over the pricing of the current model, which starts at Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.09 lakh.
