The festive season is something that most manufacturers in India look forward to before launching a new product. The reason for this is customer sentiment. It is during this time of the year that people think about upgrading or purchasing a new vehicle. This year was no different either. We saw Mahindra and Tata launch the Thar Roxx and Curvv in the market. Maruti also introduced their all-new Dzire, and similarly, Skoda unveiled their upcoming SUV, Kushaq. Other than these, three more new cars will be launched in the Indian market in the next two weeks. What are they? Let’s find out.

Mahindra BE 6E

The first car on this list is an electric vehicle from Mahindra. The Indian SUV manufacturer has been testing this SUV for the last couple of years, and it will be launched on November 26 this year. Mahindra has officially announced the launch date for this electric SUV. The SUV falls under Mahindra’s Born Electric category.

BE 6E

It is the production version of the BE.05 concept that Mahindra showcased last year. The SUV features C-shaped DRL elements running around the headlamps, which are positioned on the bumper. The BE 6E is also based on the INGLO platform. Mahindra is expected to offer the SUV with 60 kWh and 79 kWh battery options.

Mahindra XEV 9E

The XEV 9E is actually bigger than the BE 6E. It has an XUV700-inspired front-end with a closed grille, drop-down LED DRLs, and other similar design elements. However, it should be noted that this is an all-new electric SUV built from scratch. Towards the rear, the electric SUV features a coupe-like design, which gives it an aggressive look.

XEV 9E

Initially, it was called the XUV.e9, but the name was later changed to XEV 9E. The electric SUV will offer premium features like a triple-screen setup on the dashboard, ventilated seats, electric seat adjustments at the front, LED headlamps and tail lamps, and more. There are also reports that you can move the car forward and backward using the key fob, a feature we’ve seen in many luxury cars.

The XEV 9E is also based on the INGLO platform, and the SUV is expected to be offered in both single and dual-motor configurations. The XEV 9E will also be officially unveiled alongside the BE 6E on November 26.

Honda Amaze

After the launch of the Maruti Dzire, Honda shared a very aggressive-looking sketch on social media. The sketch was actually of the next-generation Amaze, and it looks like Honda is not planning to leave the sub-4-meter segment category anytime soon. If the production version of the next-gen Amaze looks anything like the sketch, some buyers might find it very attractive.

The front end of the sedan takes inspiration from the Elevate SUV. It features projector LED headlamps with dual-function LED DRLs on top. The grille has grown in size, and the bumper looks more muscular as well. The rear of the sedan resembles a baby Honda City. Just like the exterior, the interior of the sedan also draws inspiration from the Elevate. A floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and a multifunction steering wheel are some of the expected features. The sedan might also offer ADAS, which would be a segment first.

It will be powered by the same 1.2-litre NA petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox option. The next-generation Amaze is expected to be launched on December 4, 2024.
