The automotive sector is set to spool up further in the coming days. A series of interesting launches- ICE, EV and hybrids are to be expected. These vehicles belong to different segments and cater to a varied range of buyers. Here are 4 new cars launching in India, in the next 30 days.

Mahindra BE 6e

Mahindra is set to host an important unveil event- Mahindra Unlimit- on 26th November 2024. The carmaker will reveal two of its highly anticipated electric vehicles- BE 6e and XUV 9e.

Mahindra’s future EV lineup will fall into two broad categories- the XUV e range and the BE lineup. These electric vehicles will be based on the new-age INGLO architecture from Mahindra and will likely source some of their powertrain components from Volkswagen.

In the Indian market, the BE 6E will compete with the Curvv.EV, Hyundai Creta EV, BYD Atto 3, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVitara. Unique styling bits like clean, loud lines, chunky wheel arches, LED lights, flush door handles, and gloss Black cladding are to be expected. The rear design, though not officially out yet, will be as aggressive as the front.

The cabin is expected to get a cockpit-like design. It will likely get two large screens, a rotary drive selector, a good-looking plastic panel between both the front seats and sleek air vents. More details are expected to surface in the coming days.

Two battery packs are expected in the production form- 60 kWh and 79 kWh. Sources suggest that the larger battery will offer a range of 450-500 km.

The interior will have a Black and Beige colourway with Silver accents.

The powertrain is known to remain unchanged. The new sedan will continue to be powered by the familiar 1.2L iVTEC petrol engine. A 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic will be available as transmission choices. Honda could also launch a CNG version sometime soon.

Toyota is known to debut the ninth-generation Camry sedan early next month. The D-segment sedan will launch officially early next year. It will battle the upcoming Skoda Superb, when launched. The new Camry will have a fresh design. Some bits bind it close to Lexus models in styling.
