The first MPV on this list is Kia’s Carens facelift, which will be called Carens Clavis. The Clavis will be launched on May 8th and will sit alongside the current-generation Carens. As per the reports, Kia will be adding a new suffix to the Carens badge - Clavis - to differentiate the two siblings. In terms of changes, the new Carens facelift will get a more modern front fascia, including a new grille, new L-shaped LED headlights and DRLs, and a new front bumper.

It will also be getting a set of new alloy wheels, and the rear will also get new connected LED taillights. On the inside, the new Carens is expected to get dual connected 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, an updated dashboard design, and ADAS Level 2. Pricing-wise, the new Carens is expected to start at Rs 11 lakh and could go up to Rs 20 lakh. Powertrain options of 1.5-litre NA, 1.5-litre turbo, and 1.5-litre diesel will remain the same.

It will get features such as captain seats with ottomans, massage, recline, ventilation, and heating features.

MG will also be offering the MiFa 9 with features including dual sunroofs, rear entertainment screens, tri-zone climate control, and others. As for the powertrain, it is expected to get a 90 kWh battery pack offering it a range of 500+ km. The pricing will be around Rs 75–85 lakh. The electrified version of the Carens will most likely be borrowing the electric powertrain from the Hyundai Creta Electric. Currently, the Creta Electric is offered with two battery pack options of 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The former offers an ARAI-claimed range of 390 km, meanwhile, the latter offers 473 km of range.

The 42 kWh variant gets a 135 PS-generating electric motor. On the other hand, the 51.4 kWh option comes with a 171 bhp-producing electric motor. The Carens EV is expected to carry a price tag starting from Rs 25 lakh. As for the exterior design, most likely it will be based on the facelifted Carens and will get some EV-specific design elements like a closed-off grille.
