Actor Gaurav Bakshi Blocks Minister Nilkanth Harkankar’s Car In Goa: Arrested [Video]

We have seen several incidents in the past where people have found themselves in trouble for blocking the way of government-owned vehicles or officials. Actor Gaurav Bakshi, who is known for his roles in web series “Bombay Begums” and “Naxalbari,” was recently arrested by Goa police for allegedly blocking the way of state Animal Husbandry Minister Nilkant Halarnkar using his car.
Officials said that Gaurav Bakshi, who is a familiar face in several web series, was booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections related to “obstructing public servant” and “wilful restraint.” The minister told the media that the incident happened when he was leaving in his car from Revora Panchayat Hall in North Goa district on Wednesday after attending a function.
The minister said that the accused had blocked the path using his vehicle and was threatening the personal security officer (PSO) when he asked the actor to move the vehicle.
A case was later registered at Colvale police station in North Goa district, and the actor was arrested based on the complaint by Halarnkar’s security officer.
After the issue went viral, the actor came forward with a video in which he claims that it was the minister’s car that was blocking his car’s way and mentioned the same in his counter-complaint. He mentioned that he had filed a complaint against the minister at the local police station.
The video shared by Ingoa 24×7 shows the explanation video and also a clip from the spot where the issue between the minister and the actor’s vehicle happened. The video has been seen and liked by thousands of viewers in the last 24 hours. Some of the comments under this video are in support of the actor, while others are not.
Some of the comments under this video are: “What he spoke is the truth of Goa,” “Few ministers’ drivers think they are ministers only,” “This so-called Gaurav Bakshi is a big troublemaker. Don’t get fooled by him. He has harassed many people. He is great at making a scene and seeking attention. There is a hidden agenda for sure.”
Even the chief minister Pramod Sawant came across the incident and told the media that the government had taken cognizance of the incident and the actor would be arrested.
Blocking the way of a government vehicle is actually a punishable offense as it is often counted as an act in which they are not allowed to do their duties. In this case, the minister’s personal security staff has said that the actor blocked the way with intentions to stop the minister from driving away in his vehicle.
We do see the video from the spot, but there is no audio, and we do not have clarity on who is to be blamed. If you look carefully, the road on which the incident took place is not too narrow. Two vehicles can pass side by side, and the actor’s car is stopped in the middle of the road with the minister’s Kia Carnival next to it.
