All-New Honda Amaze Teased Ahead Of Launch: To Challenge 2024 Maruti Dzire
The Japanese automotive giant Honda Cars India has released a new teaser image of its upcoming Amaze. This new image gives us a glimpse of the redesigned front-end design of this popular sub-compact sedan. As per the reports, the new Amaze will be based on a modified version of the Honda City platform. Most likely, the launch of the third-generation Amaze will take place around December of this year.
Honda Amaze Third Generation Teaser
The teaser image of the upcoming Honda Amaze has been shared on Instagram by the official handle of Honda Cars India. The picture has been shared with a caption stating, “Get ready for the big reveal. Stay tuned for more #Allnewhondaamaze.”
From the image, we can note that the new Honda Amaze now looks a lot sharper and more aggressive than before. There are strong body lines on the bonnet, and the headlights also look sleeker and more modern. We can also observe that this time around, the Amaze will get LED DRLs inspired by the Honda Elevate.
Apart from these, there is also a sizeable front grille, which gets smaller rectangular elements than the Elevate. Also, the lower portion of the bumper continues the sharp angles. Overall, the front end of the upcoming Honda Amaze is a lot more futuristic and sharp than the current-generation model.
Other Updates of the New Amaze
Presently, the company has only shared the front-end design teaser. However, most likely, it will be getting a redesigned rear bumper and new taillights as well. Additionally, like all the new-generation models, we will also see a new set of alloy wheels on the side profile as well.
We can expect the third-generation Amaze to also come loaded with features. It could be possible that Honda offers the new Amaze with a single-pane electric sunroof. This new feature addition also seems very likely because the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which is the Amaze’s direct rival, will be launched with it soon.
Other updates on the interior could include a brand-new dashboard layout, a new and larger touchscreen infotainment system, and it could also get a digital instrument gauge cluster. We can expect to see a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay as well.
Will It Be Getting a New Powertrain?
Most likely, the new generation of Honda Amaze will continue to boast the same tried and tested petrol engine offered with the current-generation model. Presently, the Honda Amaze is offered with a 1.2-litre petrol motor, which makes 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. As for transmission, it will continue to get the same 5-speed manual as well as CVT gearbox.
Once launched, the third-generation Honda Amaze will be rivaling the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and the Tata Tigor. As for the pricing, we can expect to see a price bump over the current-generation model. The outgoing Honda Amaze is priced at Rs 7.2 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.96 lakh.
Honda’s High Hopes with the New Amaze
Honda is betting big with the new Amaze as its sales have been declining in India despite launching new models like the Elevate. It is believed that the new Amaze will help Honda increase its sales figures, as the current-generation model is losing sales quickly.
