All-New Maruti Dzire: Fresh Pictures Show Interiors, 360 Camera And Sunroof

Ahead of its November 11th debut, we saw glimpses of the upcoming fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire. A couple of vehicles, seemingly dealer inventory were caught on camera while being unloaded from a carriage. Now, with the launch nearing, more images and videos of the vehicle are surfacing. A set of pictures shared on Auto Thrust India shows the new Dzire in detail and even gives glimpses of its finest exterior details. Further, these show the interior design, cabin colourway and some of the features that are to be expected.

Interior Design Leaked

For the first time, we now get to have a proper look at the new car’s cabin and features. It seems to have a Black-Beige colourway. The seats seem to wear Beige and so does the lower portion of the dash. The top part is Black and the same would enhance user experience when driving under the harsh sun.

Unlike the previous model, the new Dzire’s interior feels more plush and upmarket. The dashboard gets premium textures and trims. The material quality of the door pads and trims around it seem to have improved as well.

There is a wide faux wood trim and a Satin Silver accent on the dash. Touches of Piano Black can also be found inside. There is a large central touchscreen. The AC controls( not sure if it is an automatic climate control) look almost the same as in the fourth-generation Swift.

The instrument cluster continues to be an analogue unit with a digital MID. The car also gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel and what looks like switches for the cruise control. The parking brake is a manual unit and there seems to be a 360-degree camera as well. It will also get a single-pane sunrooff and will then become the first in its segment to have one.

Fourth Generation Dzire: Exterior Changes

The sedan will have a completely new design that stays clear of any ‘Swift with a boot’ vibe. It will have a new large front grille, with horizontal slats and topped by Chrome and Piano Black trims. The headlamps will have angular new designs and Black bezels. There will be new bumpers, new wheels, a shark fin antenna and stylish new LED tail lamps with Y-shaped elements inside. The ORVMs get integrated turn indicators.

Unlike all previous iterations, the new Dzire will have a cohesive design, particularly in the way its boot gels with the rest of the bodywork. The car is also wider than the one it replaces and looks better-proportionate. The new design arguably has some degree of ‘Toyota-ness’ to it.

New Dzire Specifications

Since it is based on the outgoing Swift, the new Dzire will be powered by the same 1.2L, three-cylinder Z-series engine, that can produce 80 BHP and 112 Nm. It is the first time in the model’s history that it gets a 3-pot mill. The new Dzire will have both manual and automatic transmissions. There will also be a CNG version available, upon launch, which will come mated to just a manual gearbox.

Market Launch And Rivals

When launched in India, the new Dzire will compete primarily with the Honda Amaze. Honda’s sub-compact sedan is also due for an update soon.
