Anand Mahindra Keeps Promise: Gifts Paralympics Archery Champion Sheetal Devi A Scorpio-N
The Chairman of Mahindra Group, billionaire Anand Mahindra, is known for his generous and humble nature. He is also known for showing love for our country, India. Over the last few years, he has gifted a number of athletes who have competed in the Olympics and Paralympics various SUVs like XUV700, Thar, and Scorpio-N, along with others. Now, once again, the Mahindra boss has kept his promise and has fulfilled his commitment of gifting a Mahindra Scorpio-N to the Paralympian archer Sheetal Devi.
Anand Mahindra gifts archer Sheetal Devi a Scorpio-N
The heartwarming post of archer Sheetal Devi receiving her Mahindra Scorpio-N has been shared on X by Anand Mahindra. In this post, the Paralympian archer was seen wrapped in the Indian Tricolour flag at the Mahindra dealership. She was accompanied by her family, who were all felicitated by the dealership employees.
We can note that Mahindra Group has gifted archer Sheetal Devi a Scorpio-N Z8 top-spec variant finished in the shade of Napoli Black. What is even more heartwarming about this post is that Anand Mahindra himself met the Paralympian archer. In the image, Mr. Mahindra can be seen receiving an arrow from Sheetal Devi.
What did Anand Mahindra say about archer Sheetal Devi?
Along with the images, Anand Mahindra shared his deep admiration for the Paralympian archer Sheetal Devi. He stated, “I have long admired @archersheetal’s talent from afar. Meeting her in person, I was struck by her remarkable determination, tenacity, and focus. Speaking to her mother and sister, it was clear that it runs in the family!”
He added, “She gifted me an arrow, a symbol of her identity as an archer, unbound by any limitations. Truly priceless! Sheetal is an inspiration to us all, and I am proud to see her in a Scorpio-N, a fitting steed for her as she continues to rise to new heights.”
Other Paralympians have also received custom Mahindra SUVs
Prior to archer Sheetal Devi, who received her Scorpio-N for being the first Indian woman to win two gold medals in archery at the Asian Para Games 2023, Anand Mahindra also gifted a custom-made XUV700 to Avani Lekhara for her performance in the 10m air rifle standing event at the Tokyo Paralympics 2021. She received a gold and a bronze medal at the event.
In addition to Avani Lekhara, Anand Mahindra also gifted a custom XUV700 to Sumit Antil. Sumit broke the world record thrice in five throws at the Tokyo Paralympics and won a gold medal for it. Apart from these athletes, Paralympian Deepa Malik also received a custom Mahindra XUV700, which was made wheelchair accessible for her by the company.
Anand Mahindra is a very generous man
In addition to the Paralympians, he has gifted a custom XUV700 Javelin Edition to Olympian Neeraj Chopra, who became the first Indian to win a gold medal in athletics back in 2021. Neeraj Chopra’s XUV700 was designed by Pratap Bose. This particular SUV was given a lot of gold accents and “87.58 metres” that denoted the winning throw by Neeraj Chopra.
Chess prodigy Praggnanandhaa was also gifted an XUV400 EV
Back in March of this year, after Praggnanandhaa’s outstanding performance at the FIDE World Chess Cup, Anand Mahindra announced that his company would provide Prag with a Mahindra XUV400 EV SUV. A few days later, images of Praggnanandhaa receiving his electric SUV were shared online.
