Audi India has launched a comprehensive after-sales package that combines a 10-year extended warranty with a 15-year roadside assistance programme. This initiative, now available across the company’s entire product portfolio, places Audi at the top end of the luxury car segment when it comes to long-term ownership support.

At a time when customers are growing increasingly concerned about the long-term cost and reliability of luxury vehicles, Audi’s move addresses some of the most common pain points. The extended coverage is not just about years on paper. It includes specific services, technical guarantees, and nationwide coverage that could change how owners plan their long-term relationship with the brand.

10-Year Warranty Adds Peace Of Mind, Predictability

The extended warranty programme stretches the total coverage to 10 years or 200,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. This is applicable to all Audi models sold in the country, including both new buyers and existing customers whose vehicles are still under warranty.

Customers can choose between 1-year or 2-year extensions at different stages in their ownership cycle. The warranty mirrors the manufacturer’s standard warranty terms, covering all manufacturing defects and critical components.

Flexibility is a key feature here. Buyers can opt in at the time of new car purchase or buy into the programme before the existing warranty expires. With premium vehicles often requiring expensive repairs post-warranty, this extension could prove particularly useful for those who keep their vehicles longer than five years.

The mileage cap of 200,000 kilometres also allows for heavier usage, especially for buyers who frequently travel long distances. For a brand looking to build long-term trust, this warranty ceiling puts Audi in a strong position compared to most of its rivals.

15-Year Roadside Support Raises the Bar Further

Alongside the extended warranty, Audi has also launched a roadside assistance programme that now stretches up to 15 years. This is available 24x7 and covers breakdowns, accidents, flat tyres, battery issues, and key lockouts across most motorable roads in mainland India.

Prices for this programme range between ₹3,999 and ₹8,000, depending on the duration and the age of the vehicle. Support is available in the form of towing, fuel delivery (up to 10 litres), battery jumpstarts, and even hotel accommodation or return travel if the breakdown occurs over 100 kilometres from the owner's home and requires over 72 hours of repair time.

Additional features include WhatsApp-based service requests, regular updates every 30 minutes until the case is resolved, and protective body covers during transport. These small but meaningful touches are aimed at enhancing the customer experience during unexpected situations.

Existing Owners Can Opt In Too

Audi has clarified that the new packages are not restricted to new car buyers. Existing customers can also sign up for the extended warranty or roadside assistance, provided their vehicle’s age and current warranty status meet the eligibility criteria.

This could appeal to a large base of owners whose cars are nearing the end of their standard warranty but are still in good condition. It also boosts the resale value of the car, as buyers on the used car market increasingly look for vehicles that come with active warranty or support coverage.

The luxury car segment in India is evolving. Buyers now expect more than just premium interiors and high performance. Ownership costs, after-sales support, and reliability over the long term are becoming key decision-making factors.
