Audi Q7 Falls In Pond And Sinks, Locals Pull It Out [Video]
Indian roads and accidents are something that go hand in hand. We come across reports of road accidents from the length and breadth of the country almost every day. We now have a video from Assam where an Audi Q7 luxury SUV was found inside a pond. The luxury SUV was sinking in the pond and was later pulled out by locals. How did this happen, you ask? Well, the driver was trying to save the lives of two bikers.
The video has been shared by ND24 on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see an Audi Q7 SUV completely submerged in water. The SUV was actually found in a pond in Chenimari village in Jagiroad town of Assam. Locals of the village reportedly found the SUV floating in the pond and immediately reported it to the local police.
After the police reached the spot, they checked the registration number of the SUV and found that the SUV was owned by a well-known businessman from Guwahati named Sukhbinder Singh. The owner of the SUV was contacted and he told the police that the accident happened while he was trying to avoid crashing into two motorcycles.
He said that two bikers coming from the opposite direction overtook a truck and they came right in front of the luxury SUV. The owner, in a bid to save the lives of the bikers, turned the steering away and the SUV went off the road and fell into the pond. The SUV fell into the pond; however, the driver managed to get out in time.
In the video, we see that the Q7 SUV was completely inside the pond and we could only see the opened tailgate. The interior of the SUV is damaged from the water and the electricals inside the car would have also stopped working. We see that there are locals in the pond who are trying to tie the SUV with a proper tow strap to pull it out.
We are not sure if the owner of the SUV had informed the police about this accident or not. The SUV was pulled out using a crane as seen in the video here.
It looks like the businessman had bought a used Audi Q7 from Delhi and got it registered in Assam. Many people are doing this as expensive or luxury used cars are available for sale in the Delhi NCR region at a very attractive price.
We would like to believe the story that the owner of the SUV said and if it is true, then it was only because of the quick thinking of the SUV driver that the bikers did not end up in a crash.
In many parts of our country, it is very easy to find bikers who flout traffic rules and ride recklessly on public roads. It is because of such careless bikers and drivers that often innocent road users have to pay the price. There have been cases in the past where people, through no fault of their own, became part of road accidents.
