Auto Expo 2025, or Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 as it is called, saw increased participation from manufacturers and OEMs. Many car brands that had skipped the show previously showcased interesting concepts and unveiled new products this year. There are unveilings and debuts and showcasings – but when you really look, only a few actual launches. Here are five such products that made a market entry at the show.

Hyundai Creta Electric

The Hyundai Creta Electric was one of the most anticipated launches at the Expo. This is the only launch that truly matters to you – an electric version of a highly popular SUV. The SUV is Hyundai’s first fully localised EV and the most affordable all-electric vehicle from the Korean manufacturer. The Creta EV will be available in four broad trims- Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. The electric SUV will come with two battery pack choices- 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The vehicle comes with a single electric motor that makes up to 171 PS. The 42 kWh unit has an ARAI-claimed range of 390 km and the larger battery is claimed to offer 473 km in range.

Hyundai announced the prices of the Creta Electric at the Expo. It starts from Rs 17.99 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan-India) and goes up to to Rs 23.50 lakh.

The larger battery pack will be available only from the mid-spec Smart (O) and upwards. The 11 kW AC charger costs an additional Rs 73,000.

In design, the Creta Electric stands close to the ICE version. There are, however, a lot of Ev-spec design cues like a closed-off grille, 17-inch aero wheels, and new bumpers. The vehicle gets Active Air Flaps as well. The interior gets a three-spoke steering wheel, black and white seat upholstery, dual 10.25-inch displays, ventilated front seats a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, dual-zone AC more features.

Mini Cooper S JCW

Mini has launched the new Cooper S JCW in India priced at 55.9 lakh, ex-showroom. The brand has opened bookings for the car and deliveries will start in April. It gets a more powerful engine than the standard Cooper S, which produces a total of 231 hp and comes with sportier exterior and interior treatments.

The hatchback is powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine as the standard Cooper S, but tuned to a higher spec and makes an additional 27hp and 80Nm. The transmission is a 7-speed DCT unit with paddle shifters. The John Cooper Works Cooper can go from 0-100kph in 6.1 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kph.

The JCW Mini Cooper gets a blacked-out front grille with the three-colour John Cooper Works logo, wider air vents, JCW-specific LED DRLs, a new rear spoiler, a black rear diffuser, multiple Red accents, and a centrally positioned tailpipe. The cabin gets a Red-and-Black theme and JCW sports seats.

Vayve EVA Solar Car

Vayve Mobility has launched India’s first solar-powered electric car. There are three variants: Nova, Stela and Vega. The price starts at 3.25 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to 5.99 lakh. There is even a battery subscription scheme available.

It gets round LED headlights, tail lights and 13-inch wheels. The interior gets a minimal layout with dual digital displays and three seats. Features include a manual AC and a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat. There is even a driver’s airbag and 3-point seatbelts.

The Vayve EVA comes with multiple battery pack choices- 9 kWh, 14 kWh, 18 kWh and comes with a range of up to 250 km per charge. The roof gets solar panels which enables the car to be charged when there is sunlight available. You could call the EVA a more affordable alternative to the MG Comet.
