The Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E are currently the most talked-about electric SUVs in India. Both of these born-electric SUVs have made a lot of people their fans. From Bollywood celebrities to business tycoons, people are praising these SUVs non-stop. Most recently, one of the top aviation entrepreneurs and a fashion designer were given these SUVs for test drives, and their experience has been phenomenal. Both of them have shared their candid thoughts on the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E.
Aviation Entrepreneur Test Drives Mahindra EV SUVs
The first video shared by Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs features Abhishek Kulkarni, MD & Group CEO of Urbane Aerospace. For those who may not be aware, Urbane Jets is a venture that focuses on aircraft and helicopter sales, management, and charter services. In this short video, Kulkarni was given a Mahindra XEV 9E to drive around for a day.
Along with it, he was also shown the BE 6 electric SUV. He stated that both of these SUVs are truly head-turners, and when driven on roads, people can’t stop staring at them. He added that both look extremely premium, and they are loaded with features to the brim. The aviation entrepreneur also highlighted that the music system in both of these SUVs is phenomenal.
He concluded by highlighting that he can step out of a helicopter, then sit in the XEV 9E, and drive it home. Kulkarni also mentioned that the driving comfort and high-speed confidence these SUVs provide are unparalleled. Overall, he is extremely happy to see these SUVs and states that Mahindra has done a fantastic job.
Fashion Designer Checks Out Mahindra EV SUVs
Apart from Abhishek Kulkarni, the super-popular fashion designer Anita Dongre, founder of House of Anita Dongre, the famous Indian fashion house, also checked out the Mahindra BE 6 electric SUV. She was shown this SUV at her residence. Right off the bat, she mentioned that the first thing she felt after seeing this SUV was pride.
The fashion designer stated that she feels proud that such an amazing SUV has been designed in India. She also highlighted that, being a designer, the most important thing for her is design, and she loves futuristic and modern design. Dongre added that this SUV is also feature-loaded, and she was impressed by the auto park feature.
In addition to this, she said that there are so many features on this SUV that are only offered in luxury cars. Apart from these, Dongre also stated that she loves the cabin of this SUV. She concluded by adding that this SUV being electric is the cherry on top, and she is looking forward to owning one soon.
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E
The Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E are the latest born-electric SUVs, based on the brand’s in-house-developed INGLO electric skateboard architecture. They are both being offered with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh.
The BE 6, with the 59 kWh battery pack, offers 535 km of range. Meanwhile, with the 79 kWh battery pack, it offers 682 km. The XEV 9E, on the other hand, with the 59 kWh battery pack, provides 542 km of range and 656 km with the 79 kWh battery pack.
As for the electric motors, both SUVs, in the base variants, will make 228 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, in the higher-spec variants, they will make 282 bhp and 382 Nm of torque. The BE 6 starts at Rs 18.9 lakh, and the XEV 9E starts at Rs 21.9 lakh.
