Bollywood Actor Ranveer Singh: Goodbye Maruti NEXA, Hello Skoda!
The super popular Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has now become the “brand superstar” for the Czech automaker Škoda India. This brand collaboration is more special because this is the first time ever that Škoda has appointed a brand ambassador. For those who may not be aware, Ranveer Singh, before becoming the face of Škoda, was the brand ambassador for Maruti Suzuki’s premium car division, Nexa Experience.
Škoda makes Ranveer Singh its “brand superstar”
Škoda India has announced that the first premiere or TVC featuring both the newly appointed brand superstar, Ranveer Singh, and the newly launched Škoda Kylaq will be aired soon. Additionally, a brand-centric film has been planned, which will be released at the end of March. Škoda stated that with this film, fans and customers will have an opportunity to meet Ranveer Singh and the management of Škoda Auto India.
Škoda Kylaq: A very important car for the brand
This brand collaboration between Škoda and Ranveer Singh comes just after the launch of the Škoda Kylaq sub-compact SUV. It is currently the most important car in the Škoda lineup as it is helping the brand increase its market share in the country. So far, the Kushaq and the Slavia were doing the heavy lifting for the brand’s sales volumes.
Since the launch, the Škoda Kylaq has received over 20,000 bookings. Out of these, 10,000 bookings were received in the first 10 days after the launch. The Kylaq is offered in four variants, namely Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. As for its pricing, it starts at ₹7.89 lakh for the base variant and goes all the way up to ₹13.35 lakh.
The Kylaq comes powered by a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine with 115 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the Kylaq include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. In terms of features, the Škoda Kylaq gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a two-spoke steering wheel, an 8-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, a sunroof, front seat ventilation, powered front seats, and leather upholstery, among others.
Kartik Aaryan has become the new brand ambassador for Maruti Suzuki Arena
As mentioned above, Ranveer Singh used to be the brand ambassador for Maruti Suzuki Nexa. Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Arena cars were endorsed by the popular actor Varun Dhawan. However, recently, Maruti Suzuki replaced Varun Dhawan with Kartik Aaryan, who is presently one of the most trending stars in Bollywood.
Kartik Aaryan was recently seen in the official TVC of the Brezza sub-compact SUV. As for the new Bollywood movie in which Kartik Aaryan will be seen next, it will be Aashiqui 3. This movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. Anurag Basu and Pritam will be in charge of the direction and music for this movie. Also, Kartik Aaryan will be seen alongside the South Indian actress Sreeleela, who gained fame for her appearance in Pushpa 2.
