If you are also an eager car buyer waiting to know which of these new cars will be arriving next month, here is the detailed list with their launch dates. August will see car launches from automakers including Tata, Mahindra, Citroen, Maruti Suzuki, and Nissan. So without any delay, here are the details.

Nissan X-Trail – August 1

The first car on this list is the Nissan fourth-generation X-Trail. The company recently officially unveiled this SUV in the Indian automotive market. It has been announced that it will be brought in as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). This flagship SUV will pave the way for the upcoming models from Nissan.

The new X-Trail will be available in three color options. These will be namely Diamond Black, Champagne Silver, and Pearl White. All three colored cars will come with a dark chrome grille, split LED headlights, and a modern exterior design.

On the inside, the India-spec X-Trail will feature a dual-pane sunroof and a seven-seat configuration. Other features will include dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and a wireless smartphone charger.

The SUV will come powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It will produce 163 bhp and 300 Nm of torque and come paired with a shift-by-wire CVT auto gearbox. It will compete directly with models like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and MG Gloster.

Citroen Basalt – August 7

Next up, the India car market will see the launch of the Citroen Basalt coupe SUV. As per the company, it is set to be officially unveiled on August 2, with the launch scheduled for August 7. This new model is based on the C3 Aircross and features a unique coupe SUV design.

The Basalt will distinguish itself from its sibling with a distinctive sloping roofline, flap-style door handles, and unique alloy wheels. On the inside, the Basalt is expected to share several design cues with the C3 Aircross but will likely offer enhanced equipment and features.

Most likely, its list of features will include a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will also get a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and wireless charging.

As for the powertrain, the Citroen Basalt will come powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine could generate 109 bhp and 205 Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Tata Curvv Coupe – August 7

Tata Motors will be officially taking off the covers from the Curvv Coupe SUV today. It has also confirmed that the official launch will follow on August 7. The Curvv Coupe SUV will feature a unique design with a coupe-like rear end. It will get flush-fitting door handles and new 17-inch alloy wheels.

The front end of this SUV’s design will look almost exactly like its sibling Nexon facelift with sleek split LED headlights and connected LED tail lamps. But the rear will be where the sloping roofline will make the difference.

As for the interior, the Tata Curvv’s interior will offer a premium and minimalistic cabin like the Nexon. It will come loaded with features including a 10.25-inch to 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system (depending upon the variant). It will also get touch-sensitive climate controls and a panoramic sunroof.

The Curvv Coupe SUV will be available with both ICE and electric powertrains.
